Samsung releases One UI 9.0!

Starting from today, the new version of One UI based on Android 17 is now available for Samsung phones, beginning with the Galaxy S26 series in Korea. One UI 9.0 brings an improved experience for your Galaxy phone by introducing new features and other enhancements, including the new Galaxy AI features that first landed to the Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra, and Flip8 series.

One UI 9.0 is based on a new version of Android, which is version 17, that brings improvements over Android 16 to enhance your experience while introducing new features related to multitasking, privacy and security, and more aspects. With One UI 9.0, it brings My FanCam to your Galaxy phone, as well as the improved Now Brief with customizable cards and a more customizable quick panel, bringing personalization to a whole new level.

Starting from today, One UI 9.0 begins distribution to Galaxy S26 users in Korea, which marks the start of the rollout of this improved software, with more eligible devices being expected to receive the stable update during the next few weeks.

Please note that the update may not have reached your phone and/or your country yet, so you’ll have to be patient while the update reaches your device.

The following firmware information is available:

• SM-S947N: S947NKSU4BZI6 [KOO]
• SM-S942N: S942NKSU4BZI6 [KOO]

To install One UI 9.0, navigate to your system settings > Software update > Check for updates > Download and install. If you still see “Your software is up to date”, your phone may not have received the update yet.

Always install the software update when the battery is charged. Never interrupt the update in any way, or problems may occur later. There is no need for you to wipe your phone’s cache after the software update. Please note that the download may take 15 to 30 minutes, depending on your internet connection.
