Drugie życie iPhone’a. MediaMarkt wchodzi all-in w refurbished
Jeszcze kilka lat temu „telefon z drugiej ręki” kojarzył się raczej z OLX-em, ryzykiem i lekkim stresem przy pierwszym uruchomieniu. Dziś sytuacja zmieniła się diametralnie. Rynek refurbished przestał być niszą, a stał się pełnoprawnym segmentem technologicznej codzienności. I właśnie w tym miejscu pojawia się ruch MediaMarkt, który w Polsce zdecydował się zrobić coś więcej niż tylko dorzucić kilka używanych modeli do oferty.
To już nie test. To pełnoprawna strategia.
Refurbished, czyli coś więcej niż „używane”
Zacznijmy od podstaw, bo to nadal budzi sporo nieporozumień. Sprzęt odnowiony to nie jest telefon „po kimś”, który ktoś tylko przetarł szmatką i wystawił ponownie na sprzedaż. To zupełnie inna liga.
Każde urządzenie przechodzi kompleksowy proces regeneracji, obejmujący m.in.:
- szczegółową kontrolę aż 33 kluczowych parametrów technicznych
- wymianę elementów takich jak bateria czy ekran
- certyfikowane czyszczenie danych
- testy jakości oraz odświeżenie wizualne
- dodanie nowych akcesoriów
To oznacza jedno – użytkownik dostaje sprzęt, który działa jak nowy, ale nie kosztuje jak nowy. 
I właśnie na tym polega największa zmiana mentalna, jaka zaszła w ostatnich latach. Refurbished przestał być kompromisem, a stał się świadomym wyborem.
iPhone premium w cenie „rozsądnej”
Nie oszukujmy się – nowe iPhone’y nigdy nie były tanie. I raczej nie będą. Tymczasem modele sprzed roku czy dwóch nadal oferują wydajność i jakość, które dla większości użytkowników są więcej niż wystarczające.
Dlatego matematyka jest tu bezlitosna i jednocześnie bardzo kusząca:
- zamiast średniaka → bierzesz ex-flagowca
- zamiast kompromisów → dostajesz premium
- zamiast przepłacania → zostają pieniądze na coś więcej
To właśnie ten moment, w którym konsument zaczyna myśleć nie tylko „czy mnie stać?”, ale „czy to ma sens?”. I coraz częściej odpowiedź brzmi: refurbished. 
MediaMarkt + bolttech = kontrolowana jakość
Kluczowe w tej układance jest jednak zaufanie. Bo cały model rozsypuje się w sekundę, jeśli klient zaczyna się zastanawiać: „a co jeśli coś nie działa?”.
Tutaj wchodzi partnerstwo z bolttech – firmą odpowiadającą za profesjonalną regenerację urządzeń. Proces odbywa się w certyfikowanych centrach serwisowych, a każdy smartfon objęty jest 24-miesięczną gwarancją. 
I to jest moment, w którym refurbished zaczyna przypominać klasyczny retail: kupujesz w sklepie, masz gwarancję, masz wsparcie, masz spokój.
Bez kombinowania.
Online, offline i… Marketplace
MediaMarkt zrobił jeszcze jedną ważną rzecz – nie ograniczył tej oferty do półki w sklepie. Odnowione iPhone’y są dostępne:
- we wszystkich sklepach stacjonarnych w Polsce
- online, przez mediamarkt.pl
- w ramach rozwijanego Marketplace’u
Ten ostatni element jest szczególnie ciekawy, bo pokazuje kierunek. Marketplace integruje oferty od certyfikowanych partnerów, co oznacza: większy wybór, większą dostępność i – co ważne – transparentność jakości urządzeń. 
Kupujący dokładnie wie, czy bierze sprzęt „jak nowy”, czy z drobnymi śladami użytkowania.
Better Way – czyli technologia z sumieniem
Nie byłoby jednak tego ruchu bez kontekstu ekologicznego. I to nie jest marketingowa wydmuszka – liczby robią wrażenie.
Produkcja nowego smartfona generuje:
- ponad 200 g elektroodpadów
- wykorzystanie ~268,6 kg surowców
- ogromny ślad wodny i węglowy
W przypadku urządzeń odnowionych:
- elektroodpady spadają do ok. 22 g
- zużycie surowców do 25,3 kg
- emisja CO₂ jest nawet 11 razy niższa 
To już nie jest „miły dodatek”. To realna różnica.
MediaMarkt oznacza takie produkty logo BetterWay i tworzy dla nich dedykowane strefy w sklepach. To prosty sygnał dla klienta: możesz kupić dobrze i odpowiedzialnie jednocześnie.
Z pilotażu do standardu
Co ważne – to nie jest jednorazowa akcja. Po udanym pilotażu oferta refurbished została rozszerzona na wszystkie sklepy MediaMarkt w Polsce.
Czyli: to już nie eksperyment, tylko pełnoprawny element strategii.
I trudno się dziwić. Rynek jasno pokazuje, że:
- konsumenci szukają oszczędności
- chcą jakości premium
- coraz częściej myślą ekologicznie
Refurbished trafia dokładnie w ten punkt przecięcia.
Podsumowując: rozsądek wraca do technologii
Mam wrażenie, że przez lata daliśmy się trochę wciągnąć w wyścig „co rok, to nowy model”. Tymczasem rzeczywistość jest taka, że topowy smartfon sprzed dwóch lat nadal jest… topowy.
I może właśnie dlatego ruch MediaMarkt jest tak ciekawy. Bo to nie jest tylko nowa linia produktów. To trochę zmiana narracji.
Z: „kup nowe, bo jest nowe”
Na: „kup mądrze, bo to ma sens”
Refurbished przestaje być alternatywą. Zaczyna być pierwszym wyborem dla coraz większej grupy użytkowników.
I coś mi mówi, że to dopiero początek.

As my followers may remember, I bought a refurbished ThinkPad T490s from the German retailer Thinkstore24.de at the beginning of June. It looked like new, but unfortunately it had defective speakers and I made a complaint about it.
Thinkstore24 immediately sent me a return label for UPS, two days later it was back at the dealer, who repaired it and sent it back on Monday. It arrived today and everything is finally working. Really fast, competent and problem-free service, chapeau!
Windows 11 Pro is still pre-installed on a small 256 GB SSD, but I still have a 1 TB Samsung SSD lying around, so I'm going to put that in and Fedora Linux on it! Let's get started!
