Samsung reportedly starts development for One UI 9.5 for the Galaxy S26

While One UI 9.0 was still ongoing for the Galaxy S26 with the beta program currently going on with the fifth beta version being expected this week, something unexpected has unfolded.

According to a reliable tipster, Tarun Vats, Samsung has reportedly started development on One UI 9.5, a version that will be released for the upcoming Galaxy S27 series, for the Galaxy S26 series, with the build number ending with CZH1.

The Galaxy S26 was originally released with One UI 8.5 as the version in use. Since then, Samsung has planned to upgrade it to One UI 9.0, which is what they’re already working on with beta programs. One UI 9.5 comes after One UI 9.0, which will provide various features, such as new AI features.

However, this is a very early development stage, so there is no clear information about One UI 9.5 on the Galaxy S26 yet. However, the Galaxy S27, which will be revealed in Winter 2027, will be unveiled with One UI 9.5.

Tentative logo of Android 17 Cinnamon Bun spotted!

Today is the release day of the much anticipated Google Pixel 10 phone, a successor of Google Pixel 9 released last year. It powers a much powerful Google Tensor G5 (4nm process) system on a chip (SoC) that provides you with the powerful octa-core processor and a Mali-G715 MC7 GPU. It will be released with Android 16, and the next version, called Android 17 Cinnamon Bun, is going to be its first upgrade for the phone series.

We found a tentative image of what appears to be the Android 17 logo that is contained by the pentagon shape (five sides). As usual, it’s set in the space, but with a large dark green square in the middle of the logo that contains nine smaller squares, each colored by lighter green. The “17” appears below the bigger square. You can finally see the logo below.

Currently, we couldn’t find a higher quality image, due to being a preliminary image of Android 17 Cinnamon Bun logo. We’ll find out more about Android 17 in the coming months.
