Discord Alert: Popular Music Bot Reverb Hacked and Nuking Servers
Hello everyone, Nicholas here with some breaking news from the world of Discord. Earlier today, I came across something deeply concerning, and I think it’s important for all Discord users to be aware of this issue. Most of us are familiar with the typical scammers that frequent Discord, constantly trying to trick users into handing over personal information. However, this time, the situation involves something much more severe, and it affects servers on a massive scale.
The Reverb Bot Hacked
Discord bots are an essential part of enhancing server functionality, whether it’s for moderation, music, or fun interactions. Unfortunately, today I learned that one of the popular music bots, Reverb, has been hacked. The result? It’s been wreaking havoc across numerous servers by "nuking" them. For those unfamiliar with the term, "nuking" means completely destroying a server—deleting channels, banning members, and causing irreversible damage in a matter of seconds.
This kind of attack goes beyond the usual scams and phishing attempts we often hear about. A compromised bot, especially one with administrative powers like Reverb, has the potential to dismantle communities built over months or even years in an instant.

One of the best moves we made in terms of spammer management was keeping joining the server open but requiring all users to say why they wished to join. Amazes me how many spammers don't even try to fake their way through that question, or are fully automated to fill out that form.

Told my doctor I would rather be #happy than #healthy, if it has to be either/or. We are all slowly #decomposing already. I am not in a hurry to die, but I also ain't in a hurry to slow it down. They told us #GenX that we basically only had twelve minutes to live before we were #nuked any minute. I lived my life accordingly.
