  1. A quotation from C. C. Colton

He that dies a martyr proves that he is not a knave, but by no means that he is not a fool.

Charles Caleb "C. C." Colton (1780-1832) English cleric, writer, aphorist
Lacon: Or, Many Things in Few Words, Vol. 1, § 410 (1820)

  2. A quotation from C. C. Colton

If the weakness of the head were an admissible excuse for the malevolence of the heart, the one-half of mankind would be occupied in aggression, and the other half in forgiveness; but the interests of society peremptorily demand that things should not be so; for a fool is often as dangerous to deal with as a knave, and always more incorrigible.

Charles Caleb "C. C." Colton (1780-1832) English cleric, writer, aphorist
Lacon: Or, Many Things in Few Words, Vol. 1, § 372 (1820)

  6. CW: in which b4ux1t3 has reveals he's actually just a graybeard OSR shill

Or: Just run #MorkBorg or #Knave or #IntoTheOdd or #CairnRPG or #Mausritter or any number of other, smaller, lighter-weight RPGs so that you can get comfortable with being a GM before you take on a mechanics-heavy system.

  10. WOLF, DIRE: AC 13, HP 16, LVL 4, ATK bite (2d4), MOV 50’, MRL 9, NA d4 (2d4). Think charging rhino. With fur. And fangs. Hunting in packs. Sometimes tamed by humanoids of sufficiently malignant temperament for various barbarous pursuits.

  11. GOBLIN: AC 13, HP 4, LVL 1, ATK weapon [dagger or short sword (d6), short bow (d6), spear (d8)], MOV 20’, MRL 7, NA 2d4 (6d10). Warbands composed of some combination of malevolent, cunning, unpredictable, mischievous, or comical individuals. That some goblins ride dire wolves says everything that needs to be known. Gain a +5 advantage on mounted attacks.

  12. #Kuf (made by me)

This is a modern day Gnostic horror #ttrpg built on top of the brilliant #Knave OSR game.

The PCs are ordinary people who get pulled from their ordinary lives and into a maelstrom of cults, strange gods, ancient tomes on magic and travels to other worlds.

It's sort of a "what if" the #KULT RPG, if it had been inspired by the Narnia books instead of Clive Baker's horror.

We've been playing campaign after campaign in this system the last couple of years.
