To be honest, a machine-learning model for Nuke where the training data is clearly sourced and free of legal baggage would be a really good thing. There are so many image segmentation and inpainting models that would be really useful to compositing artists. But most are "non-commercial use only" or have unclear training data. The Foundry should put some of their money into training such models from scratch so that they can be used by studios.

Nuke bug of the day: Nuke's color pipeline breaks with completely nonsensical errors whenever you add the keyword "default_view_transform:" to your OCIO configuration. That's really weird because it doesn't really do anything color-related except define which value the viewer should be set to initially.

Using a #Blackwell 5080 with #Nuke 15/16 on Linux and the open drivers is a disaster — GPU-accelerated nodes (AI+OFX) fill VRAM and never release, causing total GPU crash after a few frames. Yesterday I did some testing in Nuke 17 and 16.1 Beta... the issue is gone! Need to wait for official release but this is amazing news.
