@swampgas no clue from me, except they're called Los Tigres del Norte (The Tigers From The North). Also there's this more recent wave of doing an equivalent of outlaw music but they're called "narcocorrdidos". Basically corridos but aggrandizing drugs/narco culture. Which is not great imo.
That's as far as I know, but hashtags may be able to summon more knowledgeable mexas.

Aunque ya tuvimos la discusión correspondiente de que el norteño también tiene polaco (por que las polkas se llaman así porque son de Polonia, #polska ), y que el flamenco es de Flandes (pero no cuenta, porque era territorio #Español)
