It’s a nice size for a traveling #accordion with more than the almost less than minimum 12 bassBut getting 48 bass will let you maintain a compact size, with a good flexibility

Make sure you get the newer “square” 48 with the 7ths and Diminisheds
There’s a rectangular 48 that just added a few columns to what you’ve got, with a counterbass row
In the attached it’s ringed in orange, the square 48 is brown

Do any trad/folk music fans out there have recommendations for Anglo concertina players/albums to listen to?
I’m aware of/have access to the classic William Kimber and Scan Tester recordings and a bit of Jody Kruskal, and obviously the other/“real” JK (.i. John Kirkpatrick)(alongside his BCA and melodeons). And let me just say *not* Irish please!

This is how the #accordion comes back every 15 or 20 years or so tooTime for a general #RootsMusic revival?
Whatever the modern equivalent of the CD boxed sets of 78 rpm records
Could now include re-issues of CD boxed sets or vinyl in modern formats
The ancient “traditional” 78s they were collecting in the 90s were as old as records from the 1960s today
Trouble is, there’s so much recorded music it’s hard to know what to add
And live music hasn’t never been a great living

Houston's Los Dos De Tamaulipas play modern #accordion-led #Norteño, but don't worry - there's not a single word anywhere in here about drug cartels. Just lines about the very human misery of unrequited love. In translation the first 2 verses read something like
"I’m really going through it / And the truth is, forgetting you is a struggle / Even the therapist has gotten bored / Of hearing the same old song /
If I’d known, I would’ve skipped this stage / Because kissing you landed me in therapy / I’m living in the denial phase / I’m new to this depression thing" -

Svetlana Maraš (1985) is a composer and sound artist from Serbia. She works at the intersection of experimental music, sound art and new media. Her musical work is finding adequate form of expression in different media, genres and representational contexts and encompasses live electronic music performance, electro-acoustic composition, radiophonic art, sound and media installations.
In this piece, the composer utilized the electronics as an extension of the accordion sonic and technical possibilities. Equipment: Ableton Live, TouchOsc app, MIDI foot controller and a tablet.
Premiered and recorded on March 10, 2020 at the Belgrade Philharmonics Hall.

I saw carbon fibre backpack accordion cases a few years ago. Came in other styles tooInteresting design. They split down the middle where the bellows would be so you could take your #Accordion apart and carry each part separately onto an airplane as carry-on luggage
