Over the next few weeks, I want to feature musical artists on Masto and the fediverse. And Bloodless Girls has been out here helping share great music by trans artists on TransMusicMonday with me for a while now. They deserve a listen to!Where to start?
Bloodless girls' music is moody and feels like what I mean when I say get out there and make art for yourself and see it through.The music video for J. Sheridan Le Fanu is exactly this. Leaning into limited resources to use the roughness to express. It's a beautiful video and the music reminds me of sitting with my best friends back in Nebraska as they fiddled on their guitars and sang what moved them.
Bloodless Girls has more up on bandcamp too, and it resonates in that same place for me as Daniel Johnston's music. Something moving that I can't always put into words.
