This is my latest album. This one was a cross-continental collaboration between ABOOMBONG and DYNAMO STAIRS (David Liso, who sang on Agnosis). It was created out of flotsam from across the years that had accumulated from previous aboombong sessions. I needed another mind to pull them together. David helps out again on the new album along with a new collaborator -Gnash.

After 9 years of solo work, I decided it was time to return to collaboration and called on an old friend Raul Dorn who had been the frontman for my band back in the #80s - I sent him music, he sent me vocals and spoken words. His #poetry added à new dimension to aboombong. Some of my favorite songs are on this one. Raul took his experience with this one and now has a new solo project - Spirit Box (link below) that covers similar territory.

Amnemonic was the 3rd aboombong release and the first to focus on guitar. I used a pawn shop off brand electric with open tuning set on a table and played the fretboard with my index fingers for most parts. Not having guitar callouses, some bloody strings resulted in- but it was fun nonetheless. The album cover art was just as much fun to make as the music.

A new aboombong album is scheduled for release on July 4th. Thought I would post the previous albums for anyone who wants to get a sense of the project. The first release was my attempt to do a solo project without help from à band. I ended up using some samples from previous bands, so I suppose I failed my mission. This one is very raw, but has some tracks I am quite proud of. The name ‘aboombong’ is an onomatopoeia for the beginning of one of the tracks. The cover photo is me with my first drum kit - age 3.

Always a must buy when I see these fine folks in the shop. I had Rhenyards Grin back in the #80s and obsessed over it for a bit. Funny enough, more than 20 years later, I was chatting about music on line and ended up in a conversation with Michael Duane. Told him how much I loved his records and asked what he was up to. Ends up he was working with Bendle from The Door and The Window and they were looking for a drummer. I ended up joining up to do a couple of releases. Really proud of the work
