I finally succeeded and installed NitruxOS, it's a doozy of a distro but I am gradually making my way around the thing! Can't wait to become more familiar with it. I haven't touched the AppBoxes yet.
However, I think will have a lot of fun with it once I sort out the unique way it works. The documentation is messy because there is no way to click and go directly to the entry you'd want to visit. Very annoying.
For now, I will depend on Distrobox and Flatpaks for my software. As this has been my normal state of operating on other Atomic/immutable distros.
Right now, I need to get to bed, as I am a sleepy dude!

Edit: I just need to reformat the USB again because Ventoy is still on the damned thing.
OMG I cannot relax with NitruxOS, I tried the 'dd' tool to get NitruxOS written to a USB (as Ventoy wasn't working).
They provided a sample command "sudo dd if=nitrux.iso of=/dev/sdX oflag=sync bs=4M status=progress" that I edited to suit my needs. The edit needed was filling in the NitruxOS ISO name and the correct mount location for the USB, pretty easy to do both.
That part was successful, I am now going to retry installing NitruxOS on my laptop using my freshly created bootable drive.
Some time today, I will fucking play Vintage Story. ROFL If only I could stop tinkering so much.

I thought the idea of NitruxOS is novel and fucking cool, it being systemd free is a massive selling point to me (The init system is OpenRC).
This is an atomic distro that leverages the power of AppBoxes (a cool idea that converts .debs from trusted sources into a form that can be ran without being installed traditionally) is pretty rad. It screams modern and posh, nothing like your grandpa's Debian install.
It does use a hyprland style WM (if only the harnessed the power of Niri instead). However, I could've lived with that because the level of interesting/novel associated with NitruxOS is enough to lure me towards it.
Sadly, it could not install itself on my system this morning. I will probably try again in the future. As I haven't given up on the idea of running Atomic distros. Since it was so easy to manage and didn't really cause me any issues (aside from those that could quickly be solved with a small bit of reading and a command).

Update, I got the urge to try a new distro, but that initially failed. Oh well, Garuda Linux it is as I got a little tired of openSUSE Tumbleweed, and I was hoping to install Nitrux.
However, it failed due to being unable to write its unique init and xfs file system on my SSD.
I backed up all my stuff so this is a non-issue. Garuda is going to save the day yet again.

Distro-hopping do dia: #NitruxOS, realmente muito bonita. Baseada em KDE, com personalização própria. Base debian, #Wayland by default, #waydroid e #distrobox já instalado, Firewall e ajustes pró-privacy e "imutável". Muito interessante essa aposta do Uri Herrera.
