I use Pop!_Os and have been chomping at the bit to upgrade from 22.04 LTS to the new 24.04 with Rust and the Cosmic desktop.
But I'm a cautious guy and getting on in years, so I don't want to get myself into trouble.

It is quite frustrating that I cannot screen mirror from a linux machine to a television in any user-friendly way. My TV supports miracast directly, and has an appletv connected that will accept airplay. I've tried many programs such as MKChromecast, UxPlay, and even casting directly from Chromium browser. So I recently stumbled upon @binarydigit 's awesome website, which rekindled my interest in setting up something similar. Como estava utilizando um laptop, não era possível ter dois SSDs conectados ao mesmo tempo. Mas, ao usar um desktop, isso se tornou viável. Conectei o SSD de 480 GB com o Pop!_OS que estava no laptop, e o sistema reconheceu perfeitamente a placa de Wi-Fi da marca Fenvi, modelo FV-AXE3000, com chipset Intel AX210. Agora, o SSD de 256 GB está com o Fedora, e o SSD de 480 GB, com o Pop!_OS.

Seit ungefähr dem Ende des 1.Quartal im Jahr 2024 bin ich fort von Windows 10 und hin zu Linux gewechselt, da mich Windows 10 zunehmen extrem genervt hatte mit den beständigen Updates für irgendwelche neue „Schnüffeleien“ getarnt als unscheinbare Anwendungen im Hintergrund welche nur bedingt sowie mit Aufwand deaktiviert werden konnten.

In would REALLY like @pop_os_official to change that "Erase everything" in their installer. Or at least add "..on a drive of your choice" at the end.

Because it led me to manual partitioning while being impatient. Which led to me deleting the MBR from a data dump disk, that then barely made it back to the land of the living thanks to "testdisk" magic.
