I finally bought a new phone case as rawdogging it without one (after the silicone fail) was causing me deep anxiety.

Based on other feedback, I’ve updated the new section so the light and dark versions of the quotes now follow the system theme.
This means the dark banners are only shown in #darkmode, and the light banners only in #lightmode.

Do you like this approach, or should I switch back to showing both versions all the time?

@CollaboraOffice #LightMode not neccessarily based on full white, but #OffWhite or #CreamWhite with high contrast colours works well enough. There is way too low contrast with #DarkMode colours especially in #OnlineMeeting #ScreenSharing setting or with projection low resolution or weak light intensity or sligt misalignment, or just very light room environents in general.

fastfetch is aliased to `fastfetch --logo-color-1 0'

It’s been a while since I updated #AquamarineCS. Now with #WezTerm & #foot!

And #LightMode. I can’t say I like it that much, but I set my laptop to light mode months ago, to be among the cursed daywalkers, and haven’t had any problems. Well, besides that every other terminal app hates light mode, but that’s not *my* fault.

If anything is broken because *of me*, feel free to yell. I don’t use all of those apps all the time, so knowing what’s broken would actually help.

Designérka mi dodala dvě varianty ilustračních SVGček. Světlé a tmavé. Systém ale umožňuje nalinkovat jen jednu verzi obrázku.

Když se do SVGček vloží CSS s media query, umí zobrazit různé barvy pro tmavý a pro světlý mód.

Jenže jak ze dvou vstupních obrázků udělat jeden? Ve skutečnosti teda – jak ze dvou sad šesti dost složitých vstupních ilustrací udělat jednu sadu, která se přizpůsobí barevnému schématu?

Pustil jsem na to AI agenta a sice jsem ho musel trochu došťouchat k výsledku, ale mám hotovo. Přitom sám bych to ne že dělal týden, sám bych to prostě vůbec nezvládl…

I'll be the brave one to say this: Please stop making fun of light mode users and people who use high britness settings to their face. Just like how dark mode accomodates your eye comfort, light and neutral modes accomodate some with poor vision as well.

Yes, a lot of light modes are shitty and lazily made (please stop using #FFF white so much), but the people who need it dont deserve being individually maligned

On a computer, I generally prefer light mode for most things, but the GNOME light mode is so so very bright! Also, the light gray used for separating UI elements is quite hard to see on it. So I've switched to dark mode by default, which works in most situations. But very few apps let you manually choose which theme to use*, so luckily the button to change the theme is available directly from the status menu when I need it. Calendar and Maps, I'm looking at you (but also almost every other app, they're the worst of them).

Yes. I use #LightMode. Everywhere (just about). I know I'm in a minority. And light mode is often broken for things (like when using light mode in the #HelixEditor, the buffer tabs are wrong and deceptive).

For terminal windows that are ssh'd into some remote box _sometimes_ I'll use dark mode.
