MX Linux 25.2 “Infinity” has been released with a new text-mode installer, updated Debian 13.5 packages, Linux 6.12 LTS kernels, and Liquorix 7.0 for AHS editions.

The release also improves rescue tooling, live system support, and brings back the Raspberry Pi Respin.

Today I learned #BespokeSynth on #ArchLinux freezes when trying to save a project. After I force terminate the application, the save file dialog window appears. On #MXLinux I was able to get my music done though, so that's good!

@i_dabble #Debian is a rock solid OS. Meant for those who want predictability over the latest and greatest. It does come with a very small subset of Linux Kernels though. Off course one can always compile kernels on Debian.

Who knew #MXLinux and command line tools actually made this old and ewaste of a Chromebook actually usable. It's practically unusable for modern web, but fine for CMUS, ani-cli, Surge, Link2, Toot, and Neomutt. The battery life is insane while lasting me almost 2 days of moderate use.

I am getting tired of running Arch Linux.
Stuff tends to break or stop working in weird ways. I have been running Arch for my personal stuff and MX Linux for work for the past year. Now that I've quit my job to take care of my health I started using MX Linux just to get stuff done, because things on Arch simply don't work.
I think I'm ultimately going to move entirely to MX Linux. Arch is bleeding edge, but I think I need something a bit more dull to ease the pain...
