• Top tier 128GB DDR4, gen 3 #Ryzen

Decent. 3-5k USD for 1 gen newer. An improvement but, it's a waste. **I'd rather wait then spend 2x as much on a current gen #Threadripper #workstation**

• Mini-ITX which has always intrigued me,
• E-ATX Ryzen 9950X3D2

All the i/o is m.2. They're buried under mobo heatsinks. I need PCI-E cards for #audioProduction, #ai acceleration. I'm fine w/RAID SATA III + USB storage

Ideal:
Fat #GPDPocket 5 w/replacable RAM & battery, MCIO, multi USB 4 & 3, BT6.2, WiFi 7, latest Ryzen ai 400-500, 512GB UFS4.1 for #Bazzite, [ #RetroGame OS], #UbuntuStudio, 100% sRGB, mech kb

I'm doing weird stuff again. I'm soldering USB hubs on flex PCBs.

By accident, I ordered exactly as many 0.1uF 0402 size capacitors that I needed. BAD idea 😅

Well, I guess I'll finish it next week, after the extra capacitors arrive. 🤷🏼‍♂️

When in holiday I like my iPhone even more than usual. At the same time I‘m too lazy to use it to do some more productive writing tasks. A very small typing device would be my go to, probably. Looking at you, #GPDPocket and @mntmn #PocketReform. While the reform is open hardware, I like the keyboard layout of the GPD more.

In the late 90s/early 00s I used the #Handspring visors for a while (Deluxe in blue followed by Edge in silver)

Next were the Nokia internet tablets running #maemo, including the #NokiaN950 (#meego harmattan)

Also the Nokia communicators, including the #NokiaE90

More recently rocking a #GPDpocket, but that's out of scope for this poll.

ah yes. I kept the Windows partition on my #GPDpocket for these "fun" situations 😛 (running Linux distros on everything else)

and each time I boot to Windows, it's a fun time dealing with hundreds of mandatory critical updates requiring dozens of reboots... taking hours, just so I could use Windows for 10 minutes on whatever I needed it for.
