For now, I pretty much like the #motorola #photonq despite its age as it ran run #lineageos and comes with a physical keyboard. But this setup doesn't support #LTE, which is bad in countries where sub-4G networks are being disabled.

with #UbuntuTouch, basic stuff like cellular data and camera focus were not working for me (even with the most recent updates), also battery drain when idle on just wifi, and generally not liking the UT interface that much. I think Fxtec is focusing work on the Pro1X, and hopefully will backport the changes to Pro1.
I definitely like #SailfishOS the best among the 4 OSes I've tried on the #FxtecPro1. It feels polished and the screen is built for gestures. Just a joy to use :)

I put stock Android back for a whie just to test something out, and will be installing #SailfishOS again on the #FxtecPro1 this weekend.

the #FxtecPro1 has a smaller capacity battery compared to the #asuszenfone6 (3200 vs 5000mAh) so we can't compare them directly. However the Pro1 handles a full day's use just fine, if you keep the screen brightness somewhat low (it's a relatively bright display so you don't need it at high brightness setting anyway)
the OS matters though. #SailfishOS gives the best battery life, followed by Android / #LineageOS. However, #UbuntuTouch has problem with battery drain when idle.

In previous years' #TopNine instagram posts, there were lots more travel pics in different countries. In 2020 they're mostly local, although my last trip abroad to #Antwerp did slip in at #8. #2020bestnine still keeping things geeky, including a #virtual event selfie.

As you can see from the video, it was drizzling. I had to cut short the flying session when the rain got heavier, but I myself was caught in the downpour on the way home. Luckily the DJI bag is fairly water resistant and everything packed inside stayed dry! (including my #fxtecpro1)

yeah I understand where you're coming from.
luckily there's an active porting community, I'm running a community port on #FxtecPro1 which is not officially supported by Jolla, and loving it.

OTOH, the #FxtecPro1 keyboard is cool, and I'm back to having normal battery life on a device, yay! (50% in 12 hours, regular usage; while the #Pixel2 drained 40% over the same time just being IDLE on the table.) And the display looks great! I just have to get used to its curves, holding the phone in a way so as not to touch the display on the curved sides too much and triggering stuff unintentionally. Easier when I have the qwerty keyboard out, of course.

The fingerprint sensor on the #FxtecPro1 is so sensitive and yet inaccurate that I've all but disabled it. The Bluetooth is also finicky, it's not pairing with my #QC35. Sure I can use the 3.5mm jack but I like how easily my Bose pairs with multiple devices.

Some sample low light scenes #shotonfxtecpro1. It's decent, although I have to hold the #FxtecPro1 really still for these results. I'll miss using the #Pixel2 for getting excellent pics with ease, but I think I can get used to this and be more deliberate in composing pics.

yeah my current phone, a #Xiaomi #MiA1, cost about 160 bucks when I bought it about 2 years ago, before that I used my father's #Note3 after he passed away, and before that I used a #Doogee #DG800 "Valencia" which I'd 'won' for 15 bucks on #DealExtreme several years before. So, yeah, my phone budget definitely has no room for an #fxtecpro1 or similarly priced #smartPhone.
Besides that, I'd be too afraid to drop it and ruin such an expensive device.

So this happened to my #pixel2. Luckily it booted normally when I selected 'try again'. But how long more can I depend on it? Been having battery problems all year. My #FxtecPro1 can't arrive fast enough...
