Back in ~2016, I installed #UbuntuTouch on my Google Nexus 6 (2013). Some apps didn't run and there was poor documentation, so I abandoned the project.
This weekend, Ubuntu finally closed the no-documentation bug. Yes, ten years later! I must have been subscribed to the bug. My email got flooded by ex-Ubuntu engineers reminiscing about the project.
This caught the attention of the tech press!

@wild1145 There is now a working native app for #UBports #UbuntuTouch in the Open Store, called Mastodon Native. So that's one issue resolved.

AuroraStore works fine in Waydroid on Ubuntu Touch. I installed it using #fdroid -

Als teil des "Digital Independence Day" hab ich mein daily-driver Smartphone, ein Fairphone 5, unlocked und das Android durch ubuntu Touch ersetzt. Bis auf 2 wichtige Android Apps (Whatsapp, S-PushTAN) lΓ€uft es ziemlich gut und ich vermisse nichts. Ersteres kann ich via #waydroid laufen lassen, aber letzteres? Hat wer ne Idee wie ich die APK davon bekomme?
