Rebranding is rarely a good idea when you're trying to build support.Since the latest over-the-air update of #postmarketOS didn't work (broke my phone, though I rolled it back using the #ubports installer), I'm no longer happy and enthusiastic. At least when (occasionally) #Ubports #ubuntutouch updates don't work successfully (rarely), it doesn't wipe all your userspace data.
And your camera software still doesn't work. So byeee! I've had enough #postmarketOS or #nura for now, thanks. Can't foresee it ever being workable. Whereas I've been daily driving #UbuntuTouch for 11 years now.
Will probably try @mobian on my dev phone for now.

L'application Mastodon sur #UbuntuTouch #Ubports sur mon #FairPhone 3 se met a jour et s'améliore. On peut presque tout faire sauf mettre une photo pour illustrer le post. ce qui est possible via l'application #uPixelFed

Dans cette exemple, les oneplus 2/3/3t/5/5t/nord2 5G sont compatibles avec #UBports mais pour #droidian, seul les 3 et 3t le sont.Le pine64 book pro est compatible avec #postmarketos #mobian manjaro mobile et #nethunter

Here's a photo I took today of my Nexus 7 (2013), still (kind of) happily running Ubuntu Touch. The clock has drifted a little. My little tablet has slipped back to August 13th of 1972 (wish I could do the same!).
It's a shame they never got Ubuntu Touch running smoothly on this device.

Back in ~2016, I installed #UbuntuTouch on my Google Nexus 6 (2013). Some apps didn't run and there was poor documentation, so I abandoned the project.
This weekend, Ubuntu finally closed the no-documentation bug. Yes, ten years later! I must have been subscribed to the bug. My email got flooded by ex-Ubuntu engineers reminiscing about the project.
This caught the attention of the tech press!

@wild1145 There is now a working native app for #UBports #UbuntuTouch in the Open Store, called Mastodon Native. So that's one issue resolved.

Ich finde es doof und unverständlich, dass ich nicht in der lage bin auf jedem gerooteten gerät auch z.B. Ubports zu installieren.
Ich würde mir wünschen, dass #ubports #lineageos #Yollaphone #nothingphone etc. zusammen tun würden und eine art #Wrapper oder #VM Layer wo treiber und Quirks liegen. Also eine zwischenschicht zwischen individueller PhoneHardware + config file erschaffen, so dass man dahinter ein standardisiertes Image laden kann.
