The software giant dropped a bombshell for animators this week when it sent out an email announcing with a month's notice that it would discontinue Adobe Animate from 1 March. Existing users were told they would lose the ability to download their content 12 months later. What Adobe is doing with the cancellation of Animate should be illegal. Animators are livid atm.

Unfortunately most foss tools aren't as good as Animate to replace it (no, Grease Pencil doesn't quite do the same and Krita/Synfig/Pencil2d/OpenToonz aren't as feature-rich), but Moho is an excellent piece of software. First created for the #BeOS back in 1999, I remember using it back then. In 2007 it even had a #Linux version.
