What Adobe is doing with the cancellation of Animate should be illegal. Animators are livid atm.
Unfortunately most foss tools aren't as good as Animate to replace it (no, Grease Pencil doesn't quite do the same and Krita/Synfig/Pencil2d/OpenToonz aren't as feature-rich), but Moho is an excellent piece of software. First created for the #BeOS back in 1999, I remember using it back then. In 2007 it even had a #Linux version.

#Moho (former #AnimeStudio) just released an update (14.4) that includes a glTF exporter for game engines. I just tried it with the Moho demo project and Godot and it worked first try no thinking required! But it should work in Unity and Unreal all the same. Best graphics software update of the year! #GameDev
