#LoveBeyondtheGrave has some potential, but I don't want to slog through nearly 40 episodes of badly produced, written and acted story to get to it.
If it was 10 episodes perhaps I would have given it some chance.

I am Nobody 2 (人之下之决战! 碧游村) Chinese drama review
In the second season of I Am Nobody, our heroes Zhang Chulan and Feng Bao Bao are tasked with capturing a rogue “temporary worker”: Chen Duo, who killed her handler.
However, she is being protected by the head of a mysterious village, which appears to be a haven for people with manufactured superpowers.
Characters
Chen Duo, one of the most magnetic characters I’ve seen.Zhang Chulan (played by Peng Yuchang): Zhang Chulan tries to pretend he’s just a “nobody” but he has actually inherited a much-coveted cultivation technique.
Feng Baobao (played by Wang Yinglu): A skilled Outsider with a deep connection to Zhang Chulan whose entire existence is a dangerous secret.
Wang Ye (played by Hou Minghao): A calm and powerful Outsider. He becomes entangled in the conflicts of Biyou Village while grappling with his own moral dilemmas.
Chen Duo (played by Wen Qi): A former task force employee who turns rogue, Chen Duo’s actions spark a chain of events that reveal dark secrets within the Outsider’s world.
Ma Xianhong (played by Yin Fang): The enigmatic leader of Biyou Village, Ma Xianhong harbours grand ambitions and a dangerous plan to alter the balance of power among the Outsiders.
Xiao Zizai (played by Yan Yikuan): The calm, bespectacled Outsider is both powerful and extremely efficient at hunting down enemies.
Lao Meng (played by Pan Binlong): A mild-mannered but seasoned Outsider with a complicated past tied to Chen Duo.
Liao Zhong (played by Zhao Da): The late head of the Southwest Region, Liao Zhong’s murder sets the story in motion, revealing deeper conflicts within the Inhuman community.
Zhuge Qing (played by Luo Zheng): The heir of Wuhou Qimen, Zhuge Qing faces personal and external trials in Biyou Village, ultimately confronting his inner demons.
What I liked
(From left): Zhang Chulan, Xiao Zizai, Feng Bao Bao, Lao Meng, Wang Zhen Qiu and Liao Zhong. The drama is hilarious, yet it also delivers a profound, moving message about trust, camaraderie and agency.
The temporary workers were initially suspicious of each other, trained to distrust and kept isolated by their company. I expected a major showdown between them, but the story surprised me by delivering a heartwarming message.
The humor is another thing I loved about I Am Nobody. Its over-the-top brand of comedy could easily fall flat if mishandled, but the cast just does it so well. The special effects are also impressive, and Chen Duo’s actor, Wen Qi, delivers a wonderfully nuanced performance.
What I didn’t like
Near the end, there’s an abrupt info dump from Chulan, where he rattles off his actions in a way that feels disconnected from the show’s usual “show, don’t tell” storytelling. It’s a small misstep in an otherwise stellar drama. I honestly wondered why it even happened. Did the scriptwriters suddenly feel lazy?
Thoughts about the ending
It was an ending I really didn’t expect. I honestly thought our team would end up tearing each other apart because, after all, each had their own agenda.
However, they surprisingly united in a show of compassion as they watch Chen Duo choose death after years of terrible pain and suffering.
Despite the manipulation of their superiors, and their dangerous abilities and distrustful natures, they still formed genuine bonds, and that defied all my expectations.
Conclusion
I Am Nobody is a rare, well-executed urban fantasy from China, packed with hyperkinetic energy and emotional depth. It’s a bright spark of innovation in a CDrama landscape dominated by costumed dramas and modern romances.
Despite its short runtime, it delivers a powerful punch, proving that strong storytelling doesn’t need endless episodes. A beautiful, unusual drama that stands out in every way.
Story: Fast-paced, innovative and hilarious, it packs a lot of punch in a short number of episodes.
Acting: Pretty good overall!
Costumes and sets: Average.
Camerawork: Above average.
Rewatchability: HighFinal rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Exemplo:
The Emperor’s Strategy/帝王攻略(Di Wang Gong Lue)
Onde ler: MLTNovels.com ;
Xianxia
Exemplo:
The Founder of Diabolism/魔道祖师(Mo Dao Zu Shi)
Onde ler: Exiledrebelstranslations.com ;
Xuanhuan
Xuanhuan significa “fantasia misteriosa”.

Tiger and Crane is one of the dramas that you can watch at a gentler, calmer pace a because it is so comforting. Not to say that it is boring or sedate; it is filled with battles, demons, and blood, but it is typical shonen fare: An unassuming lad is suddenly thrust into a world of heroes. He slowly becomes one while becoming more powerful himself.
This is directed by the director of the big hit Mysterious Lotus Casebook (with a Douban rating of 8.3 no less). But tamper your expectations – it is not as elegant or mature in its storytelling.
However, the tale of brotherhood is one that the director tells well. And if you’re thirsting for more tales like this, you may be able to overlook its many flaws to enjoy the friendship between our four young heroes.
Qi Xiao Xuan (Zhang Ling He)The production quality
- The acting is not bad but not fantastic either. But I find the actor who plays Hu Zi a very natural actor.
- The CGI is rough, my friend. There are some moments where I wondered what in the world the animator took that day because he must’ve been drunk when he created the scene!
- The sets are average, but there are some fun locations. The costumes and sets have a more realistic vibe and not the too-bright sheen of a lot of xianxia dramas. (Though I’m eternally bothered by Xiao Xuan’s pointy shoulder pads.)
- This may sound funny but I always appreciate it when they make an effort to ensure that the poor villagers are not as polished looking, have dirt on their faces and the streets are muddy. That quality, however is not consistently present throughout the show.
The story
- You may dislike the show if you want xian xia-ish epic romances like Love Before Fairy and Devil. Romance is really not the focus of this show, and the smidgen you see is played for laughs (so far).
- The premise can be a love or hate affair – if you like shonen manga-ish plots, you’ll like it. I personally found it comforting because the story felt so familiar. Emotionally, I’m not as driven or in pain as from other shows. This doesn’t have My Journey to You angst levels. So, it’s “safe” for my heart; I’m not dreading a favourite character being tortured/killed/die a terrible death. This makes it a relaxing watch for me.
- The tone is thrilling/funny/serious at the same time.
- If you like The Blood of Youth you may like this one! Same genre, same “travel around the jianghu” tale. But it is a poor cousin to the well-plotted and tightly crafted Youku drama.
The characters
(From right) Qi Xiao Xuan (Zhang Ling He), Hu Zi (Jiang Long) and Zhao Xin Tong (Wang Yu Wen).- I like our quartet of demon-busting heroes.
- Hu Zi (Jiang Long) – snarky orphan with a mysterious past
- Qi Xiao Xuan (Zhang Ling He) – ice cube “royal sorcerer” with a mysterious past
- Zhao Xin Tong (Wang Yu Wen)- rebellious demonologist with a mysterious past
- Wang Yu Qian (Chen You Wei) – cunning scholar with a mysterious past
You get the idea lol. Basically, they all have something to hide. Can this team of misfits overcome their trust issues to form a friendship strong enough to overcome all the problems the world throws at them? Take a wild guess.
- Yan Ran – with a sister like this, who needs enemies?? She’s definitely delicious to hate.
- I like the actress who plays Yi Mei – cold and calculative. You know she’s up to something.
In the end, don’t expect too much from Tiger and Crane. It isn’t groundbreaking, it isn’t a super slick production, but it has lots of heart. If you can overlook its flaws and just accept it for what it is, you’ll have a good time.
