Why the 8-hour workday is a scam for people with ADHD (like me).
To cater to the way my brain works, I get in the rollercoaster at the start of the workday and I follow the impulses of my brain.
This sounds crazy, but actually I found out that this works better for me than resisting the thoughts and impulses that my brain wants to follow.
In practice this means that:
- focus work HAS to happen in the morning or it won't happen at all
- I do way too many things sequentially, a lot of context switching
- I am extremely tired by 15:00-16:00 because of said context-switchingI did get a lot done, though. Way more compared to the era where I was cosplaying as a neurotypical person.
This is how I work "with" my ADHD, no meds required.

Aokigahara is a newly identified infostealer with traditional data theft capabilities targeting browsers, VPN clients, cryptocurrency wallets, FTP/SFTP clients, password managers, and email applications. Its distinguishing feature is dedicated targeting of AI applications and development tools, including Claude, ChatGPT Desktop, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, and Gemini CLI. The malware collects authentication files, session data, and configuration files from these AI services, alongside developer credentials such as Git files, SSH private keys, and AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud credentials. Stolen AI credentials could enable unauthorized access to paid services, account resale, or data extortion. The stealer employs anti-analysis techniques including language checks, virtual machine detection, and control-flow flattening, and uses AES-256 encryption with X25519 key exchange for command-and-control communications.
