The flaws are in the Flattened Image Tree (FIT) signature verification mechanism, which ensures that only trusted firmware images load.
Because the vulnerabilities trigger before the operating system starts, they can bypass standard security protections and allow for persistent malware setup.

Aus Frust habe ich noch mal die Spezifikationen des #TPLink #Deco #BE65 gelesen. Und dann erfreulicherweise festgestellt, dass der Satellit doch an den vorgesehenen Platz passt.
Also einen davon und einen BE65-5G bestellt. Und was soll ich sagen? Erfolg auf der ganzen Linie. Angeschlossen, geht. Super. So habe ich mir das vorgestellt.
Gute Geräte, solide verarbeitet. Saubere App, übersichtlich, selbsterklärend.

There is a lot cool tech from there but with how vile the CCP acts against Taiwan, I rather have not something crucial like network tech involved, also in general the more from #Europe the better.
So goodbye #TPLink (2 years outdated firmware an a recent model like WTF, are you serious?) and hello #MikroTik not the most fun thing to configure, gave me a lot headache but at least #RouterOS is updated on a regular basis.

Is it worth it to buy into the UniFi ecosystem?Currently a TP-Link customer and it's... Honestly neither impressive nor good. But I suppose it works, sort of?
I like my Cisco AP way more than these Deco mesh systems though.

Got a cheap #Tapo/#TP-Link cam to monitor Mocha (my cat) and I’m so bloody surprised how easy it is to integrate into #HomeAssistant. Only a single Tapo integration needed to be installed thru #HACS. It’s so much fucking trouble to add my #Eufy cameras which costs more than 5x each. Fuck Eufy/#Anker, honestly. Trash company.

Our TP-Link network is so unreliable that I have now set up a reboot schedule, something that is offered in their app!
The only way to keep the network running at full speed is to restart it every so often, and I'm tired of doing that myself.
Slopware. Slopware everywhere. Can we just go back to caveman already...
