    Man I'm so mad about the shit they are doing over on Bluesky. So many cool Black folks are over there and the dev team is just so incompetent and so apathetic. I mean, there's a reason I'm here and I'm planning to stay here but I just feel for my people over there bc we can't get a fucking break.

    Right-wing fascist shitheads are flooding the place just like every other place and a lot of the yt liberals in charge are just playing along like nothing is happening, leaving the community in the dark.

    So on the one hand I'm so damn pissed for them bc they don't deserve to keep getting let down like this over and over by rich and powerful useless white turds in suits. A lot of my folks don't have shit IRL so a digital community matters so much more for us. And these worthless pieces of money wearing skin keep roping them in and just letting them suffer.

    On the other hand, I'm so grateful for what we've got here. I seriously don't know what I'd be doing if I was still stuck suffering in their shit so someone could sell my data and dump truckloads of money into blackrock. I feel like I escaped fr. Shout out to y'all.

    I was having nice warm fuzzy feelings because even though #orogene itself is kind of on pause (for now), it’s actually spawned multiple widely-used projects:

    1. #miette was extracted from orogene, because it’s what I was building for rich errors/error codes/etc
    2. #kdl was created with the intention of being the configuration file for orogene, as well as an alternative syntax for package.json with more bells and whistles
    3. We had to write an NPM-compatible #semver package in Rust, because the semantics are actually different from Cargo’s semver implementation: crates.io/crates/node-semver
    4. The orogene resolver is published as a wasm NPM package, and is currently used by vscode.dev for doing in-browser, full fledged intellisense (because you need access to your dependencies to get their types, source definitions, etc). You can literally GoToDef and you don’t need a vm/desktop for it

    I think that’s it so far? And of course I’ve had the opportunity to share a lot of learning about performance that have been used by more recent package managers in other ecosystems!
