U don't have to ditch fish shell 😃. Nushell's external completion options let us use any completions as we like. Like carapace, fish or any custom completions.
I use fish completions in nushell for some commands. Coz nushell completions are still not that good compared to fish as of now.

This poses some problems since it's going in the kernelspace. I think at this point we should have parallel kernels running like virtualisations or like this one :

As like always the community will come up with a method to solve this I hope 💪🔥
But there's an OS which have a feature to potentially solve these. It's NixOS.

I feel silence here a lot. But I agree with you. Those people might be hungry for followers count , reach etc. Honestly, this is a better place to reach audience, coz of many instances & platforms from a single place. It really have that powerful potential.
So typical algorithm driven platforms made them to think that higher impressions & followers, reach etc means actual growth. They are simply misguided by the habits from those bad algorithm driven platforms.

I sometimes won't checkout mastodon for 3 to 4 days or even a week. How do you all catchup with things. I tried adding some accounts to a news list. But still they are hard to catch up since there are too many posts.
Anyone using any AI or something to summarise the posts? Any clients doing that ? 🤔

It's great. But the best #contribution is to share it to the #artist directly maybe through their own #website or something. But not everyone have those. Also some artists pay less for the #instrumentalists and other session #musicians and just outsource some mixing engineer and finally just hold the album name to #themselves and #publish. It is fine, but let's say I listen a song and find just the #drums super cool and I want #tip or contribute to the #drummer.

I am trying out #nushell. It's really #awesome. Basically it replaces some #tools because of it's #structured #data instead of #strings.

Also try #btop it's way awesome than #htop And also gonna try #jj soon.
And of course all with #nix #shell .

My #NixOS #setup. Even when I #ported it once to #another #machine, I #forgot to add the #user #password. So I kind of went into a #ghost user #session. All i did is #reboot and chose previous #generation corrected my #config and that's all. No need for #backup, #rescue #disk etc. I corrected my configs, now it's truly portable. All my setup is #rock #solid #stable and never #broke it though I use a lot of #unstable #packages. #Nix and #NixOS are just 🔥 ❤️

@dfarmer I use #flakes for #NixOS and added #nix #home #manager as a #module in it with #specialArgs passing both #stable and #unstable #branches for my #freedom to choose certain #packages for unstable.
Flakes is aren't that hard. It's just a #wrapper.
