I am trying to get more comfortable with the #CLI. Tinkering around with the #RpiZ2w is making it fun and keeps the stakes low if I mess up.
Currently I have #Tmux, #MidnightCommander, #Pyradio, #Hyfetch, #Btop and more installed. If you know of other fun #TUI based programs (that do not need a lot of compiling power), holler at yo boi! -
Un clavier physique, style KBDTOH pour le J2 serait nettement plus pratique.
Parce que là, btop++ sur le téléphone avec le clavier tactile… pas pratique du tout.Edit : ici, c’est sur mon Xperia XA2. Le Jolla J2 n’est pas encore sorti (fin juin-début juillet, Jolla Time)

TIL that #btop can monitor battery charging. Not sure why it’s not showing gpu, tho.
(If the reason is that `rocm-smi` is missing, then that's it for immutable SteamOS.)

I think I understand:
Personally I blieve `htop` is great for checking processes, and `btop` to get "at a glance" dashboard you can put fullscreen on a screen.

While working on the #ebox, I was also toying around with the #orangepizero2w. After some tweaking, purging, and updating, I know have the Opi running #Debian #Trixie with the @tde Trinity desktop environment. It's running pretty snappy for most things; web browsing is really the only exception.

Now the crap that has been happening on the notebook for a while is also starting on the PC. When I open an image in the #Mastodon #cli client #tut, it is displayed with #feh as intended. To close it again, the #ESC key was enough. But now this leads to a completely black window (no prompt either) and the PC is audibly under load. I can only stop it by rigorously closing the #Terminal window. #btop shows me that #tut and not #feh is responsible for this. It is probably not the fault of tut itself, but of some library that has been updated in the meantime. All I can do is wait and hope.

Jetzt geht der Mist, der schon länger auf dem Notebook passiert, auch auf dem PC los. Wenn ich im #Mastodon #cli Client #tut ein Bild öffne, wird das wie vorgesehen mit #feh angezeigt. Um es wieder zu schließen, genügte bislang die #ESC-Taste. Jetzt führt das jedoch zu einem komplett schwarzen Fenster (auch kein Prompt) und der PC steht hörbar unter Last. Nur durch rigoroses Schließen des #Terminal-Fensters kann ich das beenden. #btop zeigt mir, dass dafür auch #tut und nicht etwa #feh verantwortlich ist. Wahrscheinlich liegt das nicht an tut selbst, sondern irgendeine Bibliothek, die zwischenzeitlich mal aktualisiert wurde. Mir bleibt nur warten und hoffen.
