#trunksapp — Public Fediverse posts

Trying out #IceCubesApp Mastodon client. #TrunksApp has been my go to for a couple of months, but it seems to have no current development and some very odd UI issues.

Ice Cubes interests me because it’s written in #Swift, meaning there’s going to be an ongoing focus on iOS and MacOS.

Currently giving the #trunksapp a whirl. Nice clean interface and great features.

I used #openvibeapp to cast as wide a net as possible on that last post and it botched the tags on it by adding spaces after the #. Great, because I can't go back and edit things on the other places. :disappointed_metal:

This is why I still use #trunksapp for viewing and posting on the Fediverse.

This was the best app with so good UX. Please if u gonna abandon just release the source code atleast😔. Maybe the community will fork and help until someday u decide to come back or not.

The new handling of text with some images, where the text is truncated with a "read more" button is really, really annoying.

Is this likely to change in the next beta? I just want to see all of the text by default, as before.

A couple of weeks ago I received an email about my github issue, regarding the inability to stop the playing of animated emoji in Trunks, saying it was closed as fixed.

So I've been eagerly awaiting the next beta, which arrived this evening.

But having installed it, animated emoji still autoplay and I don't see any new setting to turn that off.

Huh, didn't realize that I had not at least pinned the #introduction tag in #TrunksApp. I should rectify that problem.

Pushed another small update to 1.4.0 beta.

Adds support for:
- Pinned shortcuts in the collapsed nav panel.
- (iOS only) tap on status bar to scroll to top of feeds/pages/etc.

Also imported more translations. Thanks for the contributions.
