@cazabon @LJ I agree 100% and was tooting about my issues with it at least a month ago. All I got in return were explanations of why it's a #GoodThing.🙄 It seems to be a workaround for shortcomings in the way federation handles hashtags. I say fix the shortcomings. In the meantime, I just add a lot of #pointless #hashtags to my #toots to make tags.pub #WorkHarder.
Also, it really pisses me off that the system converts #CamelCase to #lowercase.

Today new #sparkplugs, #coolant refresh and #oil change - had to jack up car and put ramps underneath other way round rather than drive on to them - bumper slightly fouls ramp ( #bladibarsket ).
Also chocked rear wheels for #safety

Mastondon-Frage: Macht ihr Backups eurer Inhalte? Ich meine keine, die man irgendwie wieder "einspielen" könnte, sondern nur so eure Toots für euch? Das einfachste wäre ja, den Feed (z.B. https://wue.social/@dasaweb.rss) zu nehmen, hat aber keine Bilder, keine Replys etc. Macht das jemand? Oder legt ihr darauf keinen Wert?

I #do #not #understand the #urge to #put a #hashtag in #front of #random #words in #toots.
#Besides the #fact that it is a #pain in the #ass for #screenreader #users, #most of those #hashtags are just #useless and do #not even #help to #reach a #bigger #audience.
On the #contrary, even for #sighted #folks it's #hard to #read, so they #probably #ignore the #post and just #continue #scrolling. -

As far as I can tell, according to that mastodon dot social guy, the word 'Toot' is official over for Mastodon posts.
That may be so (my instance still has a Toot button) but I propose the term Subtoot remain.
