It's great. But the best #contribution is to share it to the #artist directly maybe through their own #website or something. But not everyone have those. Also some artists pay less for the #instrumentalists and other session #musicians and just outsource some mixing engineer and finally just hold the album name to #themselves and #publish. It is fine, but let's say I listen a song and find just the #drums super cool and I want #tip or contribute to the #drummer. -

When I’m listening to Chet Atkins by himself, I can understand why modern country listener audiences don’t have an appreciation for him or look him over. However, when he’s playing with Jerry Reed, especially on live recordings, Chester and his Gretch are a completely different listening experience.
(Going for the crapshoot on hashtags for this…)

Boris - Feedbacker (live)
To my shame, whilst I first heard Boris some years ago, I didn't really get how magnificent, how heavy, how psychedelic, how trancelike they are until I watched this relatively recently. Wata in particular is a titanic guitarist, just unbelievable.
Also I love that Takeshi has a twin necked guitar/bass.

@kubke I was planning to post this some time tonight, and the Spanish guitar is the perfect segue into this.
John McLaughlin is one of my favorite guitarists of all time, Meeting of the Spirits is one of his best songs, and Larry Coryell and Paco De Lucía are just incredible. The way these three work together, mesh together. Magic. Pure Magic.

@dznz I wasn't sure if I was going to share any Terry Riley tonight, but now you've thrown Steve Reich out there, I couldn't resist (I've seen Music for 18 Musicians performed live in Sydney; it was sublime).
The organ has been hand-modified to play in Just Intonation. Ineffable music. I cannot get my head around the way he can play this stuff live, no backing, no overdubs no nothing, straight flow.

Once again, I might be stretching the intent here, because this is not actually a song; it's a solo from a live performance. But Alice Coltrane's harp playing is so present, so spiritual, so physical that I couldn't resist sharing it as part of this. Just an incredible woman.
