(Nesten like deilig som å slå Sverige i ishockey-VM…)

Lately I've seen a bunch of people struggeling with
libvirt QEMU/KVM setups where they want to bridge the VMs tdirectly to their LAN.
As I was re-installing my aarch64 host for test VMs on Chimera Linux the other day I figured I'll do a quick write up.
Chimera's libvirt comes with Modular driver daemons.
If your distribution runs the Monolithic driver daemon and or uses systemd or an other init system then dinit pleasue consult their documentation for that part of the installation.
The Bridge config part works on any distribution that uses NetworkManager.

Another day, another cool tech to check out! The NanoVM folks posted a great tutorial for GitRoot on YouTube.
They demonstrate how to manage GitRoot via Git running inside a NanoVM. Haven't used NanoVMs much myself, but gotta admit it looks pretty slick. A lightweight VM for a lightweight Git forge? Makes total sense ;)

Tested BashCoreV in a real‑world CTF setup:
installed OpenCode via SSH from BashCore, then used the tiny ~100 MB micro‑VM to capture a flag on a Windows 10 machine running XAMPP (firewall and Defender fully active).
Everything worked flawlessly.

Virtualization is a turbulent topic. Enterprises use enterprise systems. What can the small businesses do? Bhyve is a strong system for them.

Continued from last week's efforts:
Once you've got #ImageMode running, the real questions start: How do you handle updates? What does a rollback actually look like? How do you change the role of a host without starting over?
This lab covers: Tracking tags, rolling back software changes, and updating what's available to a #VM. Good hands-on practice for anyone evaluating this as a production pattern.
And best of all, its free!

Built a tiny offensive VM from scratch with Buildroot: BashCoreV 😎
113 MB ISO, boots in 2s, runs on 300 MB RAM, only 12 processes running 🤷🏻♂️
Used as a remote agent via SSH from BashCore + OpenCode to capture flags on other VMs, 0.00 0.00 0.00 load average 😅🏴☠️
A micro‑offensive VM (MOVM) built for VirtualBox.

If you've been curious about #ImageMode for #RHEL but haven't had a reason to sit down and actually try it, #RedHat put together a hands-on lab worth bookmarking.
You'll manage a #VM running in #ImageMode, see how #bootc tracks images, swap host purposes, and roll back changes. Think of it like git for your operating system! Immutable, versioned, and a lot more predictable than traditional package management.
And, its FREE to try!
