After a few years of seeing exactly the same myths about nuclear energy tossed around by solar fanatics, I think the Simpsons is actually where a lot of these people got their ideas about nuclear from.
It's really so sad how many people just spread myths about nuclear energy instead of researching why it is actually a clean and safe way to generate electricity.

Even in France, the "green" anti-nuclear activists are given too much time and coverage. If there were ever a country that should know the ideas they advocate for are dangerous, it would be France. After all, if these crazy activists got their way ("energy sobriety" is a cute phrase for not having working lights), then the majority of the country would not have electricity anymore.

This is so wasteful!!
Each of those turbines has a huge tower, a generator at the top and three gigantic blades. All to get around 50% capacity factor for maybe 20 years.
Compare that to one AP300™ small modular reactor, that replaces around 20 of these turbines and easily exceeds 80% capacity factor with much less space used.

RCV/IRV poses a serious risk to election security by introducing a requirement for a centralized single point of failure.
The current ability to have distributed counting and checks and balances at all of the different physical locations makes it much harder to attack the counting of elections in a way that affects the outcome.
Changing the election system to remove these safeguards is not a smart thing to do!
