  2. "Ya know how sometimes you go on vacation and you’re so busy that, at the end of it, you wish you had another week of vacation to recoup? Well, that’s the beauty of retirement (and early retirement) – you can actually make that happen!"

  3. "I stumbled upon a problem regarding asset allocation I wanted to share, which I think everyone should bear in mind. It’s an easy problem to overcome, but if you don’t know about it, it has the potential to really bite you in the butt!"

  8. "We’re 100% glad we did it. You don’t know what you’ll like or not like until you try it. Although living full-time in an RV isn’t something we’d want to do again, we still had a lot of fun together and created so many memories to share."

  10. Got to enjoy some hiking at Palo Duro Canyon State Park in Canyon, TX yesterday (near Amarillo). It's the second largest canyon in the U.S. and it's beautiful to see. We did our hiking in the morning before it got too hot. It's a cool place to visit if you're ever out this way!

  11. "Friendships are great, but friends you’ve built a history with from your childhood are in a whole different ballgame. You have a history together and it’s like you never miss a beat."

  13. "That was a punch in the face because we planned to do a lot of outdoor stuff (hiking, walking around, exploring, campfires, etc.) but we just couldn’t get the weather to cooperate. We did manage to make some of those things happen, but it was limited."

  14. It may have only been 60°at the beach yesterday but I'll take that ambiance anyday over an Ohio winter!

Amelia Island in Florida is a really cool place with 13 miles of free beach access along with a cool small-town feel in the historic district. Glad we stopped to check it out. We'll definitely be back again sometime!

  15. "It became a great reminder for me of how important it is to get outside and to pay attention to nature. Not only is it good for you physically, but it’s great for your mind as well."

  16. My idea to take a short little stroll today became a bit more ambitious than planned... 7+ miles later though gave me a pretty good step count for the day!

It was perfect weather for a hike and it turns out that hiking around Mogadore Reservoir is a nice little gem! It's a really nice and well-kept trail. It was peaceful and beautiful - Mother Nature certainly blessed this area!

  17. "I loved being outside and just enjoying nature and walking around saying “hi” to everyone in passing. I felt part of the community. I enjoyed being able to walk to the gym or the grocery store if we needed something."
