Under an expanded #Florida rule, instruction on #GenderIdentity & #SexualOrientation is now restricted in most cases through 12th grade. The #FloridaDepartmentOfEducation had asked the #CollegeBoard & other providers of advanced, college-level courses to search their offerings for potential violations.
But the College Board said that it would not modify its content, & that any course that did not address gender & sexual orientation should not be labeled “#AdvancedPlacement.”

I don’t agree with John McWhorter. An #AdvancedPlacement #AP course is supposed to offer college level work for college credit. Surely critical race theory, reparations would come up in a college level course. Crenshaw, a law professor at Columbia, which touts her work as “foundational in critical race theory”; Roderick Ferguson, a Yale professor who has written about queer social movements; and Ta-Nehisi Coates, the author who has made the case for reparations for slavery. Gone, too, is bell hooks, the writer who shaped discussions about race, feminism and class.
