Is there any published list of the literature that was dropped by the College Board from the Advanced Placement African American Studies curriculum? I would like to get ahold of that literature and read it.

It’s remarkable to read the #CollegeBoard’s statement about their interactions with #Florida’s Department of #Education. Definitely read the whole thing, but here’s just one quote:
“We have made the mistake of treating FDOE with the courtesy we always accord to an education agency, but they have instead exploited this courtesy for their political agenda.”
I’m glad to see some pushback against #DeSantis.

@edutooters @edutooter #CollegeBoard makes business decisions. The calculation they cynically made, most likely, is that the disruption they are seeing now is a fraction of what they'd have seen if they stayed the course on #APAfricanAmericanStudies.

Why are we surprised that #CollegeBoard caved to pressure over #APAfricanAmericanStudies? We aren't talking about what's right or wrong. We're talking about money and influence in the world of #school to come, after the last two bricks of the noble and progressive vision of American public #education have been dismantled, and the enterprise finally murdered.
