I have two MCs, with opposite opinions.
First there is Jack:
Traveling this road alone did not usually bother Jack. Unlike some villagers, he was not afraid of the things other people feared. Trolls, dragons, giants, boggyns, and huge, exceptionally evil raccoons were rarely seen in these parts, if they existed at all. Still, without doubt there were highway robbers and other strangers whom it was best to stay clear of, particularly in the dark. And wolves, including a big bad one lurking close by, if you could believe the reports. Not long ago Farmer Duff lost three little pigs. Worse, every now and then a person disappeared without a trace.
Then there is Jill:
Jill could not completely dismiss the idea of magical curses. Grandmother Flora has always maintained that her own grandfather had been bewitched into a frog. He had been returned to his human form by a kiss from his future wife—Jill’s great-great-grandmother. It was one of the family stories Jill had not told Jack yet. Jack was one who believed more in science. In his opinion, carefully studying things you can see and touch and prove to be true is proper thinking while phantasy is just a bunch of “old wives tales.” But old wives can be very smart indeed, something Jack might learn if he ever has one.

While I have a #pawpaw tree, it doesn't produce fruit*. The tree I gave my mother at the same time I planted mine produces fruit, so I had a small bag of fruits.
After eating a few, they started going bad. I put them on the back sitting area to wait for harvesting seeds this weekend. Raccoons got to them fist. Still got some seed.
* I read they need a mate, I guess my mother's house has one not to far away while mine doesn't.
