@murdoc @acratopege @autistics I think #Voxelibre hits the sweet spot of running on virtually all low-spec hardware.
I would love to run a #Veloren server, but it requires a video card about this good or better: an NVidia 1080 Ti (going price these days, used: ~$240CDN plus shipping, or $130 non-Ti). Not to mention a PC around that video card. I don't have that kind of frivolous spending money right now. Alas, I just have budget laptops and Raspberry Pis - no good video chips to speak of.
BTW: my voxelibre server began to "swap" (slowdown from RAM exhaustion) with the 5 players at once! I'll have to try to economize on RAM usage next week.

A quando un server #Luanti / #Veloren / #Xonotic di Livello Segreto? Visto che qui ci piacciono sia i #videogiochi che il #softwareLibero, sarebbe davvero fantastico ritrovarsi in uno spazio multigiocatore sicuro.
(ovviamente la proposta è estendibile anche al di fuori dell'istanza)

Les libristes devraient s'inscruster à #NantesAccoordGamesWeek et y tenir un stand pour montrer que Linux est désormais une plateforme de jeu vidéo avec #GLFOS, #bazzite et qu'il existe des jeux libres excellents comme #veloren #0ad #beyondAllReasons pour sortir de l'entre-soi des geeks déjà convaincus qui sont sous debian depuis 20 ans et aller vers de nouveaux publics

Recuerda, hoy día 24 de enero a las 18:00 UTC (19:00 CET) se presenta la versión 0.18 de @veloren con una fiesta en su servidor oficial. Van a ver actividades muy entretenidas.
Los principales cambios de esta versión son:
- Los dirigibles ahora tienen rutas definidas para viajar entre muchas ciudades
- Nuevas linternas direccionales
- Nuevo sistema de tutoriales
- Asignación de botones para mando.

Po delší době jsem dohnal resty v překladu pro @veloren
Při překladu jsem udělal pár kreativních rozhodnutí, co nevím, jak hráči přijmou. Hlavně jména NPC, co je originálně mix různé mytologie, reálných zvířat a fantasy zvířat s reálným základem pro jména.
Asi je čas se i navečer podívat do hry 😏 -

Знаете какой гит сайт я ненавижу больше всего? Верно - #gitlab .
Даже гитхаб, не смотря на все его недостатки и проблемы - не блочит по IP и даёт возможность заходить в публичные репы. Но не гитлаб. Уже как пару лет я вижу вот такую вот картину.
И как много это ломает? Да ахренеть как много. Не работают репы, не работают гитлаб пейджес, к прмиеру обновления #Librewolf или лаунчер #veloren просто не функционируют без впн.
Так-что я тихо ненавижу всех, кто по какой-то причине предпочитает гитлаб гитхабу или селфхост решениям или любым другим. -
