Turns out that on #Mineclonia, you can use spawnstruct to spawn a village, but not a mineshaft.

On #Voxelibre, you can use spawnstruct to spawn a mineshaft, but not a village.

This seems unnecessarily machiavellian.

Whenever I come across a village, I like to build a nether portal (for easy access), but then I build a big temple around it, like the villagers have been worshiping the portal to the dimension they don't understand. I imagine they would fear and respect the player who's able to go in and out of it without dying every other day :P

I also love #Luanti though I mainly play #Mineclonia rather than #Voxelibre. And finding mine tracks is always the highlight of every game session. Because trains.

NO11's randomizer is a luanti mod that shuffles the block generation of your world around. Works with every minecraft like game I've tossed at it but be careful enabling mods with unmineable blocks like zombies4test or you might find your stone randomized to them!

So if you have dry wood planks from the everness mod in voxelibre you can't make a crafting table with them because it uses the four block recipe for cursed wood trapdoors. I'd assume the rest of the mod's wood also makes trapdoors this way.

This scp inspired mob by ElCeejo is super aggressive and will launch you even in no damage creative mode. It spawned right on top of me too.

It's attacks also have a higher vertical and horizontal range than I expected and it was able to hit from underneath some blocks

Finally got started on weapons--I was putting it off because I've never through of myself very good at them as an artist, but I think I'm changing that slowly. I tried to make each of them fun and distinct, with a theme running through each of the different materials. I still need to do deepslate and the non-offensive tools, but I think I've got a direction for those now.

There is a new @VoxeLibre release. The changelog sounds pretty exciting. I really like that they are trying to create a unique game, instead of just copying what minecraft does. New mobs, new items, new crafting options. 🤩

If you want to easily fire up a VoxeLibre server with the new version, i just updated my container image.

Soo, finally proved programming is useful skill to my kids recently when I "hacked" sheep.lua to breed sheep in random colours. After so many lessons before, this was clear win! :-)

My wife and I wanted to play a bit #Minecraft together, but sadly I could not get it to run on my laptop, which has an #ArmMali GPU for which I am using the #Panfrost driver.

It seems that Minecraft shaders require GLSL 1.50, which is not supported by Panfrost...

I managed to get a window that immediately closes again, a pink window, and a black window....
(I have not tried gl4es - that _might_ have worked...)

In the end we gave up and played #VoxeLibre instead, which worked out of the box.

Unser #VoxeLibre (ehem. #MineClone2)-Server ist wieder heile!

Wir speichern die Karten in einer #postgresql. Aus irgendeinem Grund ist die Konfiguration auf #sqlite zurückgesprungen. Die Datenbank war aber natürlich leer.

Ist jetzt korrigiert und alles wieder am Start!

Heut Abend habe ich es mir richtig hart gegeben.
Eigentlich bin mit dem Desktop PC & Notebook von Tuxedo bestens ausgestattet was GamingHardware angeht aber manchmal packt es mich, das Verlangen nach Selbstgeißelung.
Ollen Linux Tablet PC gestartet, USB-Hub für Maus & Tastatur dran, #Minetest drauf geworfen, zum #Holarse #Voxelibre verbunden & dann mit niedrigsten Einstellungen und 30 FPS bis eben im Wohnzimmer zusammen mit meiner Frau Blöcke geklopft.
War schön. Ruckelig wie hulle aber schön 😅

Möglich, dass ich mich gerade von meinem #Android Smartphone via #Minetest aus dem #fdroid store auf den #Voxelibre Server von #Holarse verbunden habe und problemlos auf dem Server herumtänzeln konnte.

Was für eine Zeit um am Leben zu sein! 🤗

Man fährt herum & redet. Miteinander.
Das "Spiel" verbindet alle automatisch über Voicechat.
Einer der "Mitspieler" fährt das KFZ und es läuft Musik im Radio.

Das Programm ist viel eher eine Art Mini-Teamspeak/Mumble an das eine Autofahrt drangeflanscht wurde ... und das gut!
