  1. First test of using #FreeCAD for CAM work. In the path of slowly replacing fusion360

  2. Wanted a faster way to align stock on the CNC bed, or laser bed for that matter so I made two basic crosshair laser attachments (printed in tpu) with coin batteries soldered on. Took me the better part of the day to figure out why Carbide Motion wasn’t playing nice but I resolved that too. Also resolved to get gSender configured fully because Motion filters and doesn’t tell you it’s filtering GRBL.

  3. Running through what I know and don’t know breaking in my new machine. I’ve also got a boat load of mdf—so—random projects! Here we have a #midjourney generated dragon that I turned into an stl then carved into a .5” mdf (14”x12”) scrap. Needed more depth of stock to really shine but even compressed it came out neat. Cutting time was about 5 hours.

Again #dobotone console but this time with its parts open

  6. Playing with a pen adapter for the #shapeoko
This is a drawing of #DOBOTONE made in Fusion 360, based on the 3D model

  7. Neue Farbe für Fräsarbeiten ausprobiert. Gefällt mir ziemlich gut und ist eine schöne Alternative zum dem default „Rostrot“, welches ich bislang verwendet habe. „Antigold“ wirkt da schon viel wertiger. 😉 #shapeoko #cnc #woodworking

  8. In a tiny ~100sqft shop, I do small scale #woodworking ... bits of small cabinetry or furniture and little things for around the house or gifts for friends. I recently got a small #shapeoko CNC and am building up knowledge with a goal of adding inlay to other wood projects.

  9. Rough legs for the new CNC workstation. Not intended to be structurally sound without the components that will mount underneath. There will be a couple of shelf boxes, an electronics enclosure, and a dedicated spot for the dust extractor. Those pieces will provide a ton of additional support for the legs.
