Been busy, oh so busy and I’ve been trying to find some spare time to get back into fabrication. After fixing my cnc with a new mainboard and test carving on a few substrates I think I’m good with the design now I just need to turn it into the larger panel I had envisioned.

i'm considering using CAD sketcher addon and BlenderCAM to get blender to do parametric modelling and gcode outputs to use with the maslow. Does anyone on here use this CAD software combo?

Print bed too small. I don’t like pieces for a base either. And didn’t want to resin all that. So for the base of bases it was carved.
Still need to ponder adhesion and prime/paint/or stain. Need to sit down and find time to ponder the whole paint scheme. Been assembling the pieces while busy but getting close to sanding/assembly/paint.

Never used cad for assemblies since most of my 3d stuff was printed whole hog and I had real trouble coming from a nurbs background locking into parametric concepts. But I’m getting there.
Built a little charging station for the house to test out tolerance and dog bones. I’ve still got a ways to go but I’m at that point concepts aren’t so foreign and I’m not fighting the methodology any longer.

Wanted a faster way to align stock on the CNC bed, or laser bed for that matter so I made two basic crosshair laser attachments (printed in tpu) with coin batteries soldered on. Took me the better part of the day to figure out why Carbide Motion wasn’t playing nice but I resolved that too. Also resolved to get gSender configured fully because Motion filters and doesn’t tell you it’s filtering GRBL.
