In less than half a century, a frozen area size of the Mediterranean has turned into blue open water with rapid warming of high northern latitudes. If this trend continues, there could soon be summers at North Pole with no #seaice. Last time this happened may have been some 120,000 years ago.

Time for my annual reminder about the official #NORAD #Santa #TrackerThe modern tradition of #tracking Santa began in 1955 when a young child accidentally dialed the unlisted phone number of the #CONAD Operations Center upon seeing an newspaper advertisement telling kids to call Santa. The Director of Operations, Colonel #HarryShoup , answered the phone and instructed his staff to check the #radar for indications of Santa making his way south from the #NorthPole.
