Earlier this spring, the #PolarConnect team took part in the Arctic Science Summit Week in Boulder, USA. We contributed to shaping Arctic research priorities through sessions on cutting-edge technologies like SMART submarine cables that enable year-round environmental data collection in the high Arctic. These efforts are paving the way for sustainable, high-capacity connectivity and research access across the polar region.

👏 EU Grants Funding for Polar Connect Step 1
The next subproject of #PolarConnect begins, bringing together five Nordic stakeholders to secure the future of global digital infrastructure.

The European Commission is granting 4 million Euro in funding for the next subproject of Polar Connect, named Polar Connect Step 1 (23-EU-DIG-PC1).
