Ce livre met en scène Gustave Masurier journaliste fait divers au Havre. Je ne sais pas si Philippe Huet a fait d'autres livres avec ce même héros mais j'ai pas spécialement envie de le savoir.
L'ensemble se lit vite et bien et le dénouement est surprenant.
Par contre de savoir qu'au 2 rue des tilleuls il y avait Maurice qui tenait une épicerie et maintenant c'est devenu un barbier ça va un moment mais point trop. -

J'ai fini de lire ce livre hier soir. Ce n'est pas vraiment un #polar. On soupçonne assez vite le coupable : il n'y a pas de rebondissements. Le meurtre de Marie, 17 ans, est prétexte à une immersion dans un village rural breton. Microcosme où tout le monde se connaît et a des inimitiés, etc... Marguerite, 10 ans, différente, mutique, harcelée à l'école, est la seule témoin. Mais personne ne le sait. Ce personnage fragile suscite l'empathie et l'attente chez le lecteur.
Les effets de style et certaines expressions anachroniques m'ont cependant gênée. #lectures #romans -

Lynch, escroc, arrive à Londres, les poches vides. Rapidement ils se trouve mêlé à l’histoire familiale des Pierce, évolue dans les hautes sphères de la société. Alors qui manipule qui ?
Un polar agréable à lire, bien écrit, personnage attachant, anti-héros tourmenté.
Parfait pour se mettre un certain temps à l’abri de la chaleur.
C’est un auteur que je suis, jamais déçu. Mais ce n’est pas non plus un livre qui reste en mémoire pour son côté politique, social ou autre, juste un bon polar. -

J'en suis au début et on s’imprègne vraiment bien des personnages et l'ambiance pesante de la nature et les relations complexes entre les jeunes et les moniteurs de ce camps d'été près d'un bois (maudit?)
Puis une longue partie avec beaucoup de flashbacks : un peu déstabilisant mais on devient accro tant on est curieux et le style est très plaisant...

Ah, ce balado sur l'univers développé par Michael Roch m'avait échappée ! pas encore lu le Kò Mawon, nouvel ouvrage de l'auteur, où l'action se situe, comme dans le précédent opus (Tè Mawon) dans Lanvil, métropole au cœur des Caraïbes.
Tè Mawon installait une atmosphère très particulière, portée (entre autres) par un travail sur la langue assez phénoménal. À suivre dans ce qui est, cette fois, un polar - et toujours contribuant à proposer une SF afro-futuriste francophone. I only came to read it by happenstance as it was about polar survival and it was readily available for loan from my local library. I got the audiobook through Libby and really enjoyed it.
Talk about the difference between an "ideas" man selling adventure and scientific exploration and the people who actually have to try to survive his haphazard, hastily planned and quickly abandoned expedition.
