Where I’ve Been and Why This Blog Is Back
If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you’ve probably noticed something: it went quiet.
The last article was published on January 16, 2025. I didn’t plan on disappearing for over a year… but life had other ideas.
Ironically, I started this blog to entertain myself. It was supposed to be a place where I could write, share ideas, learn new things, and occasionally make people laugh.
Then work decided to become my main source of entertainment.
Between new projects, more responsibilities, frequent travel, and life generally refusing to slow down, the months passed much faster than I expected. Every week seemed to bring something new, and before I knew it, this blog had been sitting quietly on the sidelines.
But here’s the thing: I never forgot about it.
In fact, the longer I was away, the more ideas I kept collecting. I’d come across an interesting topic and think, “That would make a great article.” I’d read something fascinating and want to write about it. The list kept growing… the publishing didn’t.
Until now.
This blog is returning with a much clearer vision than when it first started.
The goal is simple: build a library of content that’s worth coming back to.
Whether you want to learn something new, improve your finances, laugh for a few minutes, read an original story, discover a poem, practice Spanish, or simply explore different perspectives on the world, I want there to be something here for you.

Ich bin nun auch wieder mit meinem 3. Versuch zurück auf Mastodon an alle und an den Zensor und Glaubensbruder (Christ) @ThomasP von seinem Mastodon-Server elizur.me, aber dieses Mal nun über einen anderen und auch neuen Server-Betreiber von Kanoa (AdminForge).
Es wird vorerst nur noch über Kanoa ( https://kanoa.de/@eleazar ) neue Posts von mir auf Mastodon geben, da es über dem alten Account ( https://elizur.me/@eleazar ) und bei dem alten Server-Betreiber leider nicht mehr geht, da ich von ihm stumm geschaltet worden bin.
Also er hat mich damit mundtot gemacht und mir somit ein Maulkorb verpasst, und das sogar auch ohne Angabe von einem (triftigen) Grund.
Jedoch wird auch niemand die Wahrheit aufhalten oder gar unterdrücken können, auch kein Glaubensbruder o. sonst irgendjemand, wofür der Gott der Bibel auch sorgen wird.
Mal schauen, wie es nun hier weitergehen wird und ihr könnt auf neue Posts von mir gespannt sein, die ehrlich und direkt sind.
Ich wünsche euch allen & ganz besonders @ThomasP den Gottes reichen Segen.
PS: Wer mir folgen möchte, kann dies gerne tun, wenn nicht schon geschehen. ( @linuxnews & @atixag )
PPS: Bei Disroot & Akkoma (Pleroma) hat mir das nicht so gefallen, auch wenn es dort ein paar andere & auch gute Funktionen gibt, weshalb ich doch lieber direkt hier bei Mastodon dauerhaft bleiben möchte.

I'm back after a comedy of errors for my little Raspberry Pi, where mastodon have lived for a few years.
3 things pretty much happened at the same time. The router that the Pi lives behind, got an update that threw the settings that pointed to the pi out of sync.
Something cause the nginx server to fail to load problery and therefore gave 502 error and other timeouts.
And last but not least the free dns service, I had running pointing to the pi, stopped sending http trafic to the Pi, where telnet, wget and ssh etc happily were pasted onwards when I wanted to play with sudomakecake.ddns.net.
Hence, the update to a VPS and https://sudomakecake.com, since the Pi struggled with updating mastodon and the traffic over wifi. Now its retired to IRC and backup duties which should result in less faff/stress/downtime for me.
Sadly I looks like I have lost access to the old install and therefore can't get my posts or followers and followings in a easy way, so have to build it up manually.

After 6 weeks in Germany, I've learnt that every other episode of 'Maury' & the TV show 'Succession' are apparently loosely based on my life.
Pro-tip:
When you dig too deep, you may just hit a cesspit - always stay at surface level.
(This manure-rich episode is now passé & I'll return to mildly entertain again shortly!)
