I saw the spectacle desktop file jump from 24.4 KiB to 33.4 KiB when it got recreated. The original 24.4 KiB file was created back in November 2023. The recreated one was June of this year so maybe that was it.

Renaming the spectacle desktop file in ~/.local/share/applications folder broke the keyboard shortcuts for Spectacle though so as a fix I just made the command "firejail --noprofile spectacle" assigned to Print key.

I guess I'll relegate this account into my solutions dump, like a scratch paper, so uhh starting now, I've found that sometimes the "portal" for selecting a window for screen sharing doesn't pop up on KDE sometimes when I'm using OBS

Running "systemctl --user restart pipewire.socket xdg-desktop-portal.service" fixes it. I use Arch, btw.

I might investigate this problem when it pops up again cos it happens randomly...

I always conclude my bug reports to #opensource projects, or even my first followup message to a bug report filed by others, with a sentence like: "Thanks a lot for maintaining PROJECT, it's amazing!".

It's a little gesture, but it goes a long way.

When you use #freesofware made by others, remember that it is first of all a *gift* that they are giving to all humanity (and you among them), and only second a software product with defects and avenues for improvement.
