I think there's a bug in #LibreWolf where, even if you add exceptions for a websocket, say: ws://192.168.0.2 ... it still tries to enforce wss:// anyway despite the exception. The only way for it to work properly is to disable "HTTPS-only Mode" (or only enable it in private browsing windows), and then the add-on that controls Kodi actually will work.

This doesn't happen in #Firefox even with "Enable HTTPS-Only Mode in all windows" checked.

EDIT: It works if I set: "dom.security.https_only_mode.upgrade_local" to true and restart.

Which is why #Vivaldi doesn't win me over completely. Go with a #Firefox derivative (I prefer #Librewolf). Go to the EFFs site on covering your tracks online. Test it with ublock and privacy badger and antifingerprinting. It works.

Now try it with Vivaldi.

Sous #Librewolf avec #ublock, #JSShelter et #PrivacyBadger, on obtient un résultat pas trop mauvais, même si (1) l'outil ne couvre pas tout et (2) « Your browser has a nearly-unique fingerprint ».

Sehr begrüßenswert, dass der #Browser #Librewolf vom #AUR ins offizielle #Arch Package Repository gewechselt ist. Damit wurde aber eine Patt-Situation geschaffen. #pikaur kann das Programm nicht mehr updaten, weil es das Ziel nicht mehr gibt und #pacman kann es nicht updaten, weil es das Programm nicht kennt, da es als librewolf-bin installiert wurde.

Hilft wohl nur eine De- und anschließender Neuinstallation. Und alles neu einrichten? Puh, dann warte ich noch damit.

That time of the week again!
Four updates this week (the browsers and fresh-editor) and one announcement:
Per the 1st of September I'll stop making the Vivaldi package. There's an excellent SlackBuild for that available, made by Ruarí Ødegaard, one of the actual maintainers of Vivaldi.
No better than that, and I prefer laziness over double efforts 😆

I've gradually realised that two particular aspects of web browsers are pretty important to me: the ability to completely isolate tabs (which means using a #Firefox-derived #browser), and the ability to properly resist fingerprinting (which basically means #Librewolf or #Tor at this point - and Tor's too slow).

Trouble was, Librewolf doesn't let web pages know your time zone (part of resisting fingerprinting), which for me was a showstopper. All my server stats and firewall consoles, 8 hours out. Nope. Nope nope.

But yesterday I found a Firefox extension called "Spoof Timezone", installed it on Librewolf, set it to Manila time, and Bingo. All my server management screens are now correct again, without disabling what makes Librewolf great. Happy Drew.

Tous les modules d'« AmphiCalc-1 » destinés au calcul et à la classification des amphiboles ont été révisés. La saisie des valeurs pour déterminer la teneur en Fe₂O₃ et calculer les valences a été améliorée et simplifiée. Les calculs sont désormais effectués directement lors de la saisie. De plus, la valeur recherchée peut maintenant être déterminée plus rapidement à l'aide d'un curseur.

Malheureusement, il y a des problèmes avec les navigateurs basés sur Chromium (par exemple Vivaldi). Firefox et ses dérivés fonctionnent. Désolé ! Je vais essayer de régler ce problème dès que possible.

All components of “AmphiCalc-1” used for the calculation and classification of amphiboles have been revised. The process of entering values to determine the Fe₂O₃ content and calculate valences has been improved and simplified. Calculations are now performed immediately as values are entered. In addition, the desired value can now be determined more quickly using a slider.

Die Eingabe von Werten zur Bestimmung des Fe₂O₃-Gehaltes und zur Berechnung der Valenzen wurde verbessert und vereinfacht. Berechnungen werden jetzt direkt bei der Eingabe durchgeführt. Außerdem lässt sich der gesuchte Wert nun mittels eines Schiebereglers schneller ermitteln.

Leider gibt es Probleme mit Chromium-basierten Browsern (z.B. Vivaldi). Firefox und Derivate funktionieren. Sorry! Ich versuche, das so schnell wie möglich zu reparieren.

I'm noticing more and more web pages aren't working in @librewolf.
I don't think for a second this is something wrong with #LibreWolf. I'm certain it's that more and more web sites aren't working with tracking bullshit blocked.

IE - The privacy thing isn't broken, it's just working exactly as it's supposed to. The web is broken.
