Morning run
I took a head torch to get there for sunrise. An anniversary run and the dug and I took a combination of road and tracks (26k) up to the Waterloo Memorial where we brought out a small cake with a candle with a glass of a very nice Prosecco which was appropriate. Being Scotland and despite lovely days for the last week it rained! And the candle went out.
The dug wants others to know that soggy cake is better than no cake.

A decent 35k this afternoon, crossing from Minto to Ruberslaw and then back over the river Teviot (sans bridge but the river is low and I took my shoes off and paddled over).
Very quiet bar the odd cyclist, although Chai got very excited when we met a couple walking. One was carrying a white stick with what looked like a tennis ball on the bottom. The dug could not take his eye off it much to their amusement. No ball was harmed.

Late afternoon run yesterday
A gorgeous afternoon but we had to cut things short, so just a loop down the Teviot path and back over the old railway path and through the woods. It’s great fun, a little gnarly - and great on a mountain bike - no points if you dab on the way round. Only 8k but we felt we had had exercise.

Afternoon run
A lovely 12k, mainly road, but we called past a neighbours for tea on the way back. And someone had left a slightly deflated rugby ball in the garden.

Morning dog walk
Tiptoeing through the bluebells which are still in fine form. I have the impression that they (the bluebells, not the dugs) have arrive earlier and stayed longer than last year, although without any notes of dates for either this or last I could not verify that.
Ideal temp for running, and we have a 3/4 marathon distance planned after breakfast has gone down.

Lunchtime run
After a clear night and a lovely morning, it clouded over but the light and the colours were wonderful. And the dug got in a swim on the way back as well. 8.5k road run over Minto.

Evening run. A glorious moon rising (shame the phone can not do it justice, much better by the naked eye) and 12.5k mainly road with 3k of tracks on what is almost a balmy evening. Going to be hot again tomorrow (hey this is Scotland, it’s all relative)

Morning walk with the dugs
Chai and I have to go north this morning, so he needed a good outing first and maybe an evening run when I get back (who am I kidding). But for the moment it is a lovely day - in fact if I could substitute a bit of rain for the rest of the day I would be happy.
I should point out that the collie has run at least twice as far and always faster than other two. He also gets it back quickly. For another chase.
