13. #Timing is everything‼️‼️
No idea is so unique that only you will ever think of it. You are not that #smart.☝️This is one of my favorite pieces of advice for #junior #researchers, who tend to think they are sooooo clever that nobody else is having the same idea. Well, they do, so make sure to work on / publish your great idea before others do.
This has happened to me many times.... Last example is very recent. One year ago I wrote down a #card in my #trello about the need to #annotate the code generated by an #Agent (well, it was beginning of 2025 so I used the word #LLM as agents were not that hot then) using some type of simple #DSL.
But did nothing to explore this further since then. And I had to now add a note saying that what I wanted to do is probably already covered by #AgentTrace from Cursor released a couple of weeks ago.

Jun 3rd - late post again. My sweatwork time went into analyzing my last slow game, almost two hours of play. I plan to go thru it again today, as my current notes are not rich in variations (elegant way to say there's no variations at all), I see at least 3 moments where I must explore what I could have done differently.
And sadly, this includes the move where I decided to resign:)

The annotations feature for PDFs on Google Drive is available to all users, and is something that was sorely needed, as if you ever needed to sign or fill in a PDF form on Google Drive, it always needed a 3rd party app which was often not available on mobile.
The image I've attached has been annotated on Google Drive, with some of it just using my finger, and some with the phone's stylus. You can choose between a pen or a highlighter, choose colours, and thickness. The green arrow is pointing down to the icon that appears if this feature is live for you.
Magic Eraser for Google Photos is a really amazing tool. It is one of the best erasers, and although there are some good paid 3rd party ones, Google's one was free for Pixel phone users up until now. The only caveat is it is only for Google One subscribers (from $2 pm). Having just moved back from iOS I actually subscribed to Google One for the backup storage for my Android devices and photos, so I was able to try it out.
One plus with Google, and one of the reasons I moved (and was able to) back to Android, was that Google's apps work across iOS, Android, Windows, Linux (mostly) and macOS. I try to stick to services that run across platforms, as I tend to switch a lot. So yes, nice that these services are not Android only, and will work for iOS users too.

Suppose you want a test in #Rails #ActiveRecord that says "make sure this scope has applied".
How about using `#annotate` in the scope definition, then testing the generated SQL for the presence of the annotation text?
