Bash can be a lifesaver!

I had a problem with citations in Zotero. Whenever I added a citation to my paper, sometimes the references got corrupted. I had to correct them manually.

Finally, I decided to solve this problem. While searching for a solution, I saw Richard's solution (https://bsky.app/profile/rmcelreath.bsky.social/post/3knkqvogwbc25) and decided to write a Bash script to automate this approach.

Now, I can get a corrected BibTeX file via this tiny Bash script.

Not pointing fingers here, but I won't move away from traditional toolbars in #LibreOffice until the the alternative is compatible with the #Zotero plugin (or vice-versa)

@Gibro Bei mir lief es ähnlich, lange delicious, durch Twitter zum erliegen gekommen. Aber wiederfinden dort war die Pest. dann lange "nur" mit Nextcloud Links & Floccus Links verwaltet. Jetzt schon eine ganze Weile auf #Zotero und sehr zufrieden damit (Tags, Attachements, Snapshots, Querverweise, Notizen, Reader, RSS).

le lecteur pdf intégré de #zotero a plus de fonctionnalités au fil des mises à jour, notamment la prise de note (soulignement, surlignement etc) et c'est cool.

Mais en ouvrant le fichier depuis un autre lecteur (#okular) je ne retrouve pas mes notes prises sur zotero...

Is anyone able to help my with setting up #zotero to use WebDAV? The docs mention a "Sync" tab/section in the settings, but there's no such thing in my version (version 10).
There's an "Account" tab where I can put in Zotero account credentials, but I don't need a Zotero account if I plan on self-hosting my data, do I?

#GSOC2026 is nearly over, and thanks to Hancong, you can now collbaborate with #Zotero users on the same #LIbreOffice document.
He also worked on various other improvements, like support for footnote citations for #CSL styles and support for tracking changes mode.
You can already try it in the latest dev version and soon in the new beta!

In my introductory post, I wrote about the #ZINEtero project. The initial goal was simply to catalogue my zine collection for my own personal use. Since I use #Zotero for EVERYTHING I read, it seemed obvious to me, even as a layperson, to also add my #zines there.
Well. Obvious, perhaps, but finding an item type in Zotero that might work proved quite challenging right from the start.

@OliverCzulo I agree @zettlr is a decent tool with good BibTeX support. Though in practice I mostly use #SublimeText and #Zotero + BetterBibTeX. I haven’t come across an editor with actual cross-reference support, though, that would indeed be an interesting feature. (On export, pandoc + pandoc-citeproc support that, so anything based on that would too, I just don’t know an editor with completion features.)

Mein #Zotero kann jetzt #MCP und das ist sehr gut. Jetzt muss ich mir mal überlegen, ob ich neben den PDFs dort auch Volltexte oder Zusammenfassungen in Markdown vorhalten sollte - habe keine Lust, dass die PDFs mein Token-Budget auffressen oder mich schneller an die Limits eines einzelnen Chats bringen. Hat jemand Erfahrung mit der Kombi Zotero/MCP?
