Прошел почти месяц с тех пор, как я начал переписывать одну внутреннюю рабочую софтину с C++/Qt на Dart/Flutter, имею некоторые впечатления
- я бы и дальше продолжал сидеть на уютных виджетах Qt, но часть пожеланий заказчиков и коллег по внешнему виду было уже сложно реализовывать. Делать сложные визуальные компоненты я не научился, увы. Надо было все таки не скипать курсы по черепашке в университете
- сброка и деплой проекта под винду был адом. Я затащил некоторые библиотеки из любимого #kde, но одно дело линковаться к ним под линуксом, и _совершенно другое_ под виндой, ставить четырежды проклятый msvc, дружить его с kde'шной системой пакетов, с conan'ом и прочим. Можно, но больше не хочется
- в целом из реальных причин все, упёрся в визуалочку (неосилятор) и деплоймент
- наверное можно было пойти в qml, но он все еще не очень хорош для десктнопных приложений (особенно без kde), ну и хотелось что-то новое попробовать1/?

Along the way we stole ideas from every other source. My bookshelf has one shelf of agile books and five shelves on behavioral psychology, leadership, organizational design, lean and product management.
In 2026 and beyond, we're all trying to stay upright while dealing with several messes at once: trade war and tariffs, Generative AI, and climate issues. Any one of these would be enough to knock a business off track. Combined, they make big picture planning look like throwing darts.

This is very much the right decision for the #Giants, who from the moment they traded for McCarthy knew they were looking for a reason to play him.
1) He has this year + next year remaining on his rookie contract. They get to play him and see him this year and contemplate his future after the season. Maybe, they’ll be able to recoup asset(s) if he plays well enough.
2) While there were some fools good in that 4th quarter vs Saints, McCarthy showed enough to make you feel comfortable making this move.
3) I don’t think McCarthy will improve the run game as much, but his mobility will help the offense.
4) There’s no serious investment in McCarthy. If he stinks, go back to Jameis. The locker room knows the situation w/ the QB spot. They lost Dart and are trying to manage the best they can.
5) The NFC East is up for grabs.

Only you know that you also have a very decent hand. Three out of four are ready to bet hard on their hand. The fourth has a very slim chance of also having a good hand. You know a little about him, mostly that he’s a blowhard douche with a God complex. Suddenly, he goes all in and says, “I wouldn’t mess with me because I’ll destroy you.” You know instantly that he is holding garbage. You look at the other two players and immediately realize that they are thinking the same thing. You look back at Musk and can see that he thinks his bluff is working. He has a grin a bit too wide and his eyes are darting around as he chuckles a bit too much. You immediately push your pile gently towards the pot. You look at the other two and they both think about it for a second before folding. They know how you play and realize they can’t all win. You look back at Musk and wait for his move. He blinks rapidly as his grin turns down. You can see he is trying to understand his predicament and failing. He is in a position that is new to him. He is losing everything and can’t grasp the reality. The game is over for him.

GŴYR ABERTAWE: Reform MS Francesca O’Brien says threats to her home and family business are now with the police
Threats made against Francesca O’Brien, the Reform UK Member of the Senedd for Gŵyr Abertawe, are being dealt with by the police, she has said.
The threats, made on a social media platform, included threats to her home and her family’s business, she said on Wednesday. Members of the public had flagged them to her.
“I’ve received many colourful messages over the years but I draw the line when it’s against my family and the aggressive behaviour which has escalated rapidly,” she wrote on Facebook.
The person responsible is local, she said. “These threats are now in the capable hands of South Wales Police.”
“I can’t respond to all emails and private messages at this time but I do thank you for your support,” she added, thanking those who had raised “serious concerns over my safety”.
Helen Haines, Jo Cox and David Amess: the week politicians’ safety is back on the agenda
Her statement comes in a week when the safety of elected politicians is under scrutiny around the world. On Monday Helen Haines, an independent member of the Australian parliament, was hit by a 4×4 outside her constituency office in Wangaratta, Victoria, in what Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said “wasn’t an accident”.
The 65-year-old former nurse has had both legs amputated, her husband said on Wednesday. A 43-year-old man has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury, dangerous driving causing serious injury and causing harm to a federal official, and is in custody until February.
In the UK, two sitting MPs have been killed while meeting constituents in the past decade: Jo Cox, the Labour MP for Batley and Spen, in June 2016, and Sir David Amess, the Conservative MP for Southend West, in October 2021. Both deaths led to reviews of the security given to MPs and to the way they hold surgeries.
Reform UK lost one of its own this year. Ann Widdecombe, its immigration and justice spokeswoman, was found dead at her home on Dartmoor on 9 July. She was 78.
The former Conservative minister had been the victim of a “targeted attack”, police said.
A 28-year-old man has been charged with her murder and is in custody awaiting a trial listed for June 2027.
Closer to home, in May Gareth Beer MS said his wife, Cllr Michelle Beer, had been “verbally abused in the street, chased, and called vile names” in Carmarthen.
From Mumbles councillor to Reform UK’s Senedd front bench
O’Brien was elected to the Senedd in May, when Reform UK took two of the six Gŵyr Abertawe seats with 21,641 votes. She was handed the housing, planning and local government brief in the party’s first Senedd shadow cabinet.
Before that she was the Mumbles councillor on Swansea Council, elected as a Conservative in 2022. She became Reform’s first councillor in Swansea after switching in August 2025.
The Senedd campaign turned personal in April, when Swansea Council leader Rob Stewart attacked her over a “pattern” of behaviour, citing social media posts from 2014. “Prove that I’m far right, prove I’m anti-Islamic,” she replied.
In May, after an NHS doctor and his sons were racially abused at Mumbles skate park, she condemned the abuse and invited him to work with her.
O’Brien has not said what the threats contained beyond that they were aimed at her home and family business. Her father, Gower councillor Richard Lewis, joined Reform UK this week.
