They sell both the #Paris cardboard #Navigo preloaded with 2 metro trips at cost plus about €2 fee, and #London plastic Visitor #Oyster cards at what seems to be a usual high fee of £10.50. They really should put this on the announcements more clearly but I wonder if they couldn't cope with how many people would want to avoid the awful ticket offices in both cities!

@edavies @theolodian @Edent well, the 5yo would travel free with an adult in #London on buses, trams, tube, DLR, overground, Elizabeth Line and some rail services. The 12yo can get a Zip Oyster if you buy ahead, or an Oyster smartcard with "Young Visitor" discount set for two weeks at a time, but it's often a pain in the neck to visit one of the 16 stations with a #TfL office or centre to set it, and it takes a while to outweigh the £10 charge for a new #Oyster card. It really should be simpler.
