The best part of #CruelSummer, season 1, is the range of #ChiaraAurelia as #JeanetteTurner. #OliviaHolt as #KateWallis is also very good.
What #Chiara did was next level, imo.
From geeky, awkward, innocent, and desperate-to-be-liked, to dark, brooding presence, her performance elevated this twisted #SoapOpera.
And the ending is just right.
It starts slow and grating (immature teen drama) but the final few episodes pay off.
It's a good show, overall, just don't expect a lot.

I've been rewatching #Andor about an episode every 10 days. I just finished the last 2 episodes in a mini-binge and, overall, Andor is the absolute best story in the #StarWars saga, including #EpisodeIV.
It excels on every level and honors the series' legacy by surpassing all that came before
which made it possible. -

A mediocre, kinda bad, 2021 #documentary, #DavidBowie: #OutOfThisWorld, managed to take me back to that morning I learned he'd died and made me cry (I told you I'm a softie, a completely foolish sap).
It's the only #celebrity death that's truly moved me, so much so that I literally couldn't work and I had to take the day off that Monday.

Coincidentally, I've been watching the very good, extremely disturbing, #UnderTheBannerOfHeaven "based on a book of a true story" #tv #miniseries on #Hulu.
It's a show full of a #religion's creation stories and self-proclaimed #prophets and #saints, not at all fundamentally dissimilar to the #Catholicism under which I was raised (and never believed, either).

I just watched episode 5 of Daredevil: Born Again and I know they're going to find a way to not let it happen, but I'm going to be extremely pissed and disappointed if they don't have Kamala Khan featured like her dad on the show, preferably in episode 6 but definitely by episode 9.
We're fucking tired of nothing tying together anymore after they made such a huge deal of everything supposedly being really connected.

#NatalieMorales as Jennifer does a great job of serving as proxy that allows #JillianBell as Vanessa to process her pain and regret.
Really sweet, light movie that still manages to get below the surface and allow space for deeper reflections.
A great example of small movies being able to be more than they seem ❤️

Tempest, another Korean show on Hulu, is also good, two episodes in.
It's what I expected and it's delivering even though it's a bit uneven and has some..odd editing.
This could go completely off track, or deliver a fun ride. Maybe both.

As of yesterday, I believe, I'll officially miss my goal of reaching 77% by the 1,000th game after one of my worst streaks where I've been hitting about 50%.
I didn't properly think through the clue and made a guess that didn't match the nature of the image.
Unfortunate since I've used that type of matching to make many correct guesses when I wasn't familiar with the image.
Best I can do now is 76.9%.
